I was there with my family for five nights The aqua park was amazing and the manager of the reception who provided us with an upgrade was very patient and supportive. - The room had no bathrobes nor slippers - The room was in a very bad condition in terms of maintenance - The wall was saturated with humidity - the wifi was very poor - room furniture was old - tiles are not fixed/stable - painting and touch up is needed for the furniture - the digital board of the safe box fell down - the food quality was poor - the carpet had a small cut - the handle of the window didn’t close properly - the Housekeeping service was an average The hotel seems like a 4 star hotel
We went as a group of about 24 families approx. We got a complimentary drink. The receptionist was kind but for some reason it took us about an hour to check in our rooms. The reception refused to give us an extra copy of the card and we begged them for it for about 3 hours. The room was average ( clean - tidy ). The fridge had a very weird smell I don't know if this was from a previous guest or the housekeeping service. Also we had a broken door which didn't close properly so we kept calling the reception and it took about 30 mins to get fixed. The food was very bad , it gave me diarrhea and caused fatigue and there wasn't any kind of variety of food ( different cultures ). I haven't tried the aqua so I don't know about that. The swimming pool and the beach were excellent. There was some kind of racism. Management treat you better if you are a foreigner and if you are Egyptian you don't get the same respect as the foreigners. The check out was a bit terrible when we received 2 cards for towels ( pool - beach - aqua ) we didn't lose any card and when we used the towel and returned them we got our cards back and without anyway one of the cards got lost we kept searching in our room , pool , aqua and the beach. We informed the reception during checkout and paid 600 EGP and in case they found it they said they will refund the money. Overall terrible management, food. Very disappointing
We have faced difficulties in check in and bad treatment from the reception staff (especially Mr. Mina, the supervisor) We were accommodated at 4:15 pm after waiting for 3 hours since our arrival because the room I booked was not available till 3:30pm, and I was forced to upgrade to a room with a swimming pool view at an additional cost to let my kids take rest after long time suffering. The reception staff were not professional in dealing with solving my problem, and they were aggressive in their way of speaking, also they did not take into consideration my children waiting for these hours after a tiring journey of more than 8 hours by travel. Accordingly, We lost the first day and couldn't benefit from the waterpark (the main reason to select this hotel) that was closed at 5 pm. We were very disappointed😠. Despite the amount of negative comments on the resort, we went as a group of 27 families, trusting the name Movenpick, and the experience was disappointing. We were accommodated in a reasonable time. The people were friendly. The rooms were good and clean, except for example, the room lock was broken, the bidet was poor, the air conditioning was weak, and the balcony chairs were poor, due to lack of follow-up from the management. A towel was lost in the aqua after an hour of arrival. A complaint was made at the reception and the towel center. The comment was from the management who disappeared through the employees. It is your responsibility, although it is not a bad way to deal with it. Unlike what happened previously in another resort, the management dealt with it professionally and tastefully. The aqua is beautiful and enjoyable. The swimming pools are good. The sea is enjoyable and sandy. Entertainment is non-existent. The parties are traditional and boring. The animation team is weak. The disaster is in the food and the complaints from everyone. All the comments were correct. The food is bad in the main restaurant and most of the other restaurants. We had diarrhea and almost most of us did not leave the rooms because of fatigue. We complained to the management and the chef, but there was no response despite the amount of complaints from everyone, believing that as long as the resort is full, this is a success. It is a failure because we decided not to try it again. We advise everyone not to waste their money and time in this resort. It is a 5-star name. As for the workers, most of them are friendly and deal within the limits available to them. From the failed management that did not move and address the negatives despite the amount of negative comments. The bottom line is that if there is any problem, do not expect that you will deal with any member of the management. They are hiding and will issue you Employees who do not have the power to make decisions, instead of being present among the guests, listening to their complaints and trying to solve them, just being present and listening is an expression of respect.
