Mövenpick El Gouna

Got in contact with this hotel (Vivian) to have a wedding celebration and to host 130+ guests. When she returned with pricing I asked if there’s anything that can be done to decrease the pricing quote sent to me (they sent this already), as I will choose a different date during low season. But instead of negotiating with me as I was asking, or just saying price will stay the same. Instead, they emailed me back to almost a 50% increase to the quote. The excuse was costs increase because 8 months would pass, but I never heard of inflation this high with an 8 month period. Seriously almost double?? Rip offs, unethical and will not support this hotel.

Its a beautiful hotel, very nice staff and they are always ready to help if needed. The food is great and has big variety of choices as well. Every night something new and unique to try from all over the world. The pools are great and also heated, with beaches right next to them. Overall just great.

The hotel is located on several peninsulas (though artificial lagoons, but that's not the point), with beautifully preserved gardens that feel like something out of a fairy tale! It has a very long coastline, with both the open sea (perfect for water sports, there's a kite surfing station) and picturesque lagoons. The hotel was built some time ago but still remains stylish and maintains its exotic charm. El Gouna is a private city, so it’s easy and safe to venture outside the hotel, even in the evening, and try local flavors at great prices. It's worth taking advantage of the offers that come directly to us (which might get a bit annoying after a few days, but everyone is friendly, fun, and even speaks a few words of your language). The value for money is very good (I recommend Safari Alex and Blue Aquarium Semi-submarine tours). The room was tidy, and although you could see signs of aging in some areas, it was well-maintained, with some parts having been renovated (for example, the silicone in the bathroom). It was decorated in a classic style, and everything matched. It was cleaned thoroughly every day, and we had a very nice cleaning staff member. The buffet meals were very diverse, although not everything changed daily. I don’t think I managed to try half of what was offered, but I especially appreciated the meat dishes, grilled vegetables, and sides. The poolside bar served delicious Egyptian fast food, although we didn’t try the à la carte restaurant this time. The drinks were fine, with tasty local beer and very good wine. The spa was pleasant, there were two tennis courts with equipment rental, a well-equipped gym, and even an option to rent bikes. The beach had plenty of water sports equipment (pedal boats, windsurfing, SUP boards). The beach in the lagoons was sandy, and the entry to the open sea was a bit rocky, but the water color made up for it. In February, the sea temperature was around 20°C, so we preferred the heated pools. The animation team was very friendly. All the activities were easy to joing because it wasn't about skills but fun :D Thanks to Mohammed T., for the great lottery and the additional bracelets—such a nice souvenir for us! And our waiter, Hossam (I hope I spelled it correctly), who always knew exactly what we needed at the perfect timing.

Amazing Stay at Mövenpick El Gouna! Had a fantastic stay at Mövenpick El Gouna! A special thank you to Mr. Ehab Mousa and Mr. Alhusseni at Reception for their outstanding hospitality and professionalism. Their warm welcome and exceptional service made my experience truly memorable. The hotel is beautiful, with great facilities and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back! Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

We had a wonderful holiday at the Movenpick but unfortunately on my arrivalI I was suffering with a really bad chest infection. After seeing the wonderful Hotel Doctor who didn’t hesitate to get me into hospital where I spent four days at El Gouna Hospital where they were just as wonderful and got me back on the mend in no time. However, I would warn you about the sales rep from the Beauty Salon who I have to say was extremely pushy and in fact overcharged me as when negotiating the price with me charged me 50 Euros extra after I had my hair and nails done! Even at the beauty salon itself she was there and even got the people doing my nails to coax me into buying the products they were using. After spending four days in hospital all I was looking forward to was a quiet morning of pampering where as I came out of there feeling quite stressed! We saw Nana around the pools quite a few times where she tried to persuade my partner to get his haircut in fact she was all over him like a rash! We spent the rest of the holiday trying to avoid her. The food was excellent and the staff were very obliging. We would have no hesitation in returning to the Movenpick.
