After more than two decades since my last visit, returning to the Mövenpick Hotel in El Gouna felt like coming home. I was warmly welcomed back upon arrival, which immediately set the tone for a memorable stay. Yes, the hotel is no longer brand new, but the property is very well maintained. From the gardeners to every team member on site, the entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their genuine hospitality truly enhances the experience. El Gouna has developed significantly over the years, but Mövenpick's location still stands out as one of the best, with its over 1km long private beach. The resort also boasts several pools, lagoons, and a well-equipped health club. Despite the size of the property, it never feels crowded — a true luxury in itself. One moment during our stay truly stood out: on our day of departure, my wife unexpectedly fell ill. We visited the hotel’s clinic where we met Dr. Hany. His professionalism and care were outstanding. He took the time for a thorough diagnosis, explained all available treatment options clearly, and ensured my wife could travel back to Europe as comfortably as possible. Thanks to his attentive care, she was able to make the journey. What’s more, he even followed up the next day with a phone call to check in on her condition — a level of dedication and empathy that is rare to find. We are incredibly grateful for the support we received, and it's comforting to know that Mövenpick has such a capable medical professional on-site, truly prioritizing guest wellbeing. I highly recommend Mövenpick El Gouna — for its location, service, and the heartwarming human touches that make all the difference.

Mr. Khalid, Mr. Atef and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, with our room maintained impeccably throughout my stay. Overall, I highly recommend Movenpick El Gouna for anyone looking for a fantastic stay with outstanding services in El Gouna.

Extremely Disappointed – This Is Not 5-Star Service I usually spend around 5 months every year in El Gouna, staying at various hotels – and I can confidently say that Mövenpick El Gouna has the worst staff and service I’ve ever encountered. This hotel might have the brand name, but it absolutely does not meet the standards of a true 5-star hotel. Honestly, it’s barely a 4-star at best. The bellman service is a complete disaster. Every time my wife and I request a simple golf cart to take us to our room — a ride that takes less than 5 minutes — we end up waiting in the burning sun for 20 to 30 minutes. It’s unacceptable. Even worse, the staff is completely unprofessional — they’re always standing around, joking and laughing, and pushing the responsibility onto each other rather than doing their job. I actually took the time to complain to the hotel manager after the first incident, and while he apologized and promised it wouldn’t happen again, it did happen again. Tonight we waited over 30 minutes and ended up missing our dinner reservation because of it. This shows that even management is either incapable or unwilling to fix what is clearly a broken service. To anyone considering staying here: Don’t let the 5-star label fool you. If you’ve ever experienced true 5-star hospitality, you’ll immediately notice how far below standard Mövenpick El Gouna really is. In fact, any decent 4-star hotel in El Gouna would provide far better service than this. Strongly not recommended. There are far better options in El Gouna — skip this one.

The paradise. I must recommend the hotel because I've never been in the better one! Food, rooms, beach by one word excellent! Even stuff worked there are professionals. The barmans always take care about your drink. I'm looking forward to return!

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is spacious, with numerous pools and cozy little coves that make the atmosphere truly relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Our room was clean, well-maintained, and very spacious. The food was diverse and delicious – definitely worth recommending. A special mention goes to the pigeon dish prepared by Samir – absolutely outstanding! Highly recommended!
