The service team is outstanding, the food in the open buffet is beyond excellent. What we loved the most is when we get greeted by Zainab at the entrance of the open buffet restaurant with a gig warm smile offering to help getting us the table we want and giving us clear directions. Special thanks Zainab
Mr Mahmoud from guest relations is awful. Told him the food is terrible he said everyone has their own opinion. Very poor customer service. They charge you 120 euros for late checkouts but do not give you all inclusive even although you pay extra. This hotel just wants to make money and not provide the service. You are only allowed all inclusive until 2pm. We booked late checkout with girl called Lamia she was so unprofessional as we said to her we expected all inclusive included in the late checkout. We were talking amongst ourselves and she was listening to our conversation regarding us speaking to guest relations who was sitting across the hotel reception. She called him whilst we were standing at reception to tell him we were going to approach him. His attitude was poor. Told him the food is awful instead of saying how can I assist you and why you feel this way or make improvements he wasn’t interested. I told him I would write a review on trip advisor his comment was I don’t care, The hotel grounds are big if you have difficulty walking avoid this hotel as a lot of walking to your rooms. The choice of food at dinner is awful not much variety. The staff in restaurant work hard. The lagoon snack bar is good, Their isn’t enough toilets around the hotel. My room had mosquitos in bathroom as not enough ventilation. I had to ask for plugin and spray. The air conditioner is very cold. The rooms need to be maintained to highest standards. It is not well sign posted it is like a maze trying to find your room. The entertainment is poor at night. You are best taking tuk tuk for 50 Egyptian and going downtoun. This hotel is not 5 star as the guest relation staff is rude and unprofessional.
Coming to the Movenpick El Gouna for more than 20 years and my next one will be end of May ‘25. Staff is always friendly, kind and helpful. Location at sea including beaches, pools, relax chairs, bars, etc. is perfect for Beach holiday. Breakfast, although they have changed some ( I like my baguette 😊) is a very good one. Diner has a lot of different options. Close to downtown, just a 10 minute walk with a lot to see. i can just recommend this hotel.
Back from Mov two weeks ago and already looking for Christmas or next March. Don’t listen to the reviews, movenpick and Sheraton on par for food, service, rooms and relaxation. We upgraded to a lagoon view for the night sunset (added a couple of hours of sun bathing and drinks on the balcony). Sheraton looks architecturally nicer although sun set rooms are limited due to the design of the balconies / orientation of the hotel. However, movenpick has a better layout, feels less condensed and more beaches in the sun later in the day. In summary, we’ve stopped in both and would go back to both!
The rooms are clean and tidey The food is delicious and full of varieties Check in was very easy and simple Check out also was the same and the Guest relations offer me one hour free late Check out The only missing is to add soft drink or Juices free of charge at dinner
