Mövenpick El Sokhna

The hotel is exceptional with an amazing landscaping and outstanding staff whom always did their best to make us enjoy our stay to the fullest. I highly recommend this hotel specially with my recent experience there. The whole staff are amazing from the moment we have arrived there ,the bellboys,the Receptionist, the golf cart driver, the house keeping , the Restaurant Manager and the Chef. Mr. Mahmoud El-sega3y (the Restaurants Manager) and Mr. Ahmed Rabie3 (the Restaurant’s Chef) contributed a lot in enjoying our stay.I would like to thank them and I appreciate all their efforts and professionalism.

Having stayed at Movenpick Sharm and October before I did have expectations about this hotel. It seems that the Sokhna branch is the drunk uncle who no one likes in the Movenpick family; and sadly, did not really live up to my expectations. The receptionist, Samir, was polite and professional, no problems there. It all went downfall once I entered the room, which is in some dire need of maintainance or even better, refurbishment. Most of the linen had developed fuzz and is quite scratchy, the pressure in the taps and shower is not very high (maybe due to enviromental reasons?). However, the rooms were clean. The true downfall for me was the food. Both the variety and quality, while edible, certainly not the work of a 5 star chef. Dessert was a complete and utter disappointment especially for a sweet-tooth like myself. Overall a very mediocre hotel, but definitely not 5 stars!

The hotel is amazing... we started with a warm welcome thanks to mr. A Mostafa at the reception... followed by a fabulous breakfast and lunch thanks to the restaurant staff mr Ehab, Ahmed and Sherif... even the pool staff mr Farid and everyone else was so welcoming and ensuring our good times are spent... thanks for always making our stays so amazing

The best hotel i have stayed in. I love it there,everything is great, the staff are extremely polite,friendly&helpful. The hotel is very clean, the food is amazing and the animation team are great&very friendly .

I've been to this hotel countless times over the past decade and usually we faced problems with reservations, rooms (false claims that smoking rooms were nonsmoking; not having ground floor or connecting rooms as promised on the same day right before arrival; unfriendly disorganized check-in staff). However, maybe things have changed because this trip everything was perfect and the staff were perfect! In all cases, this is the ideal hotel in Sokhna. It's very small and the closest hotel off the highway from Cairo. The beach is smooth and beautiful, with amazing view. Great pool overlooking the sea. Landscaping is flawless and absolutely beautiful. Although there are beach sports and activities and animation and night show etc., overall it's a quiet and serene environment. It also caters to everyone young to old, bikini to burkini. The rooms are pretty nice and good size and comfy, albeit lack of electric outlets which is common for older hotels. This time the free WiFi was working well. The main restaurant is massive with high diversity of options to suit everyone. Not to mention their famous pastries in the morning. My main ongoing critique is that between breakfast and dinner there isn't much to eat except poolside/beachside junk food like pizza. The room service food is not tasty and too heavy on the stomach, and restaurant near the pool isn't that great and the staff there always seem grumpy. Overall, it was a great trip this time!
