Hello. This hotel is not 5 star (3.5-4 star). There are several good and bad things about this hotel. -Rooms are old and needs to fix and renovate. Some items in room 3073 was broken and balcony chairs were dusty. We stayed with family 2 adults and 2 kids and booked Deluxe room and after arrival there was no sheets and towels for kids. I had to ask 4 times from reception and finally contact with travel agency to get items to the room in next day. So first day we did not have sleeping, washing items for kids. -Reception personal is unfriendly and do not care about customers. -Food quality is very poor, lunch leftovers they serve at dinner and food is not tasty, 5 star hotel should offer better quality. A la carte restoran food was not so good also, so you can fix this. Another adult got Diarrhea :( -Ice cream they serve only 1 hour in day and this is ordinary. +Waterpark (Splash Mania) is great and have lot of attractions, but water is not so warm. +Hotel garden and beach is nice. +Only omelette were good! Food is better in Mamas Eatery. +All other stuff (entertainment persons, restaurant people) was very nice, friendly and helpful. I have been SUNRISE Diamond Beach Resort ★★★★★, which is 5 star and that was times better, so there is lot of things to fix.
I recently stayed at the Movenpick Waterpark Resort & Spa Soma Bay, and I was absolutely thrilled! The friendly staff, well-maintained grounds, and fantastic water park for kids made my experience unforgettable. The beach with its soft sand and gentle entry into the sea was simply perfect! The only area for improvement would be the variety of food. Overall, it’s a great place for a family vacation! There is a very good wind surfing spot in 1,5 km.
The hotel is amazing The staff is very good &helpful especially Mr. Shady Zakaria ( He can find a solution for any problem ) and he is very caring for the guest Food quality and diversity 👌 ✨️ 😋 ❤️ are very good We will come again soon and I will recommend 👌 this hotel
On our first trip to Egypt, we stayed 7 nights in this hotel after mid-October 2024. Although we requested at the reservation to Jeka to have rooms next to each other and not facing the grill or the outdoor AC units, we received both rooms above the grills, where in each in the evening they smoked us. In the first day we change th e rooms and received a room with a balcony on the other side of the hotel and one without a balcony about 15 meters away from the grill. The wind blew through the window of the room without a balcony, no matter how well you closed the window. Also, by the sea, having rooms without a balcony where you can dry your bathing suits or wake up and stay in the morning to drink a coffee is something unheard of for us. Apart from these problems, the hotel is clean, the rooms are cleaned and the sheets are changed every day. In the room you had 2 bottles of 0.5 liters of flat water, a kettle, 2 empty mugs and bags with tea and coffee (sugar, coffee cream). There was little plain water because, attention, we were brushing our teeth with plain water, not with the water from the sink, but we filled the bottles at the beach from the cans. At the hotel there is a pharmacy where you can find Antinal syrup for children for about 8-9 euros or a pack of 24 capsules (10 euros) for adults in case you have stomach problems. Those there recommend taking 2 pills a day as a precaution or 4 pills if diarrhea has set in. But we had no problems. Also in the hotel is an ORARIS MARKET store with all kinds of products, glasses, souvenirs, cola, chips, beach toys for children, etc. The owner is also the one who sells and his name is ADAM and he is very kind and nice. You can negotiate with him and he makes you convenient prices for both parties. At the hotel's main restaurant, you could find fish, chicken, fruit salads and many other different dishes every day. You couldn't help but find something you liked, but they didn't have fries, which my kids really like. You asked the waiters and they served you with cola, white, rosé or red wine and beer. At your discretion you had water, apple and orange juice, coffee and teas. One day I found a moldy bun that I gave to the manager and I recommended that he check all the buns so that there are no more. The managers walked among the tables and put the waiters to work, you never saw one sit down. As soon as you left the table, they immediately cleaned the table, and when you entered the restaurant, the managers asked you how many people there were and led you to the right table. I found fries at the restaurant at the water park (slides) and at the restaurant on the beach where we used to eat for lunch. At the restaurant at the slides there is a Chef named Roger (very idiotic) who once brought us cold food for all of us because he didn't want to bring us pizza, pasta, burger or potatoes in turn as they were ready. Several people had discussions with him on this topic and because they forgot to bring something. There was also a rule that each person could give only one order, but I can understand that because many people left the food on the plate. One day they brought me a pizza with a missing edge as if someone had torn that part off and I gave it back to them. After 2 days we gave up going there and ate at the restaurant on the beach where you served yourself whatever you wanted. The water at the slides was quite cold, to me it seemed colder than sea water. The weather was warm, 28-32 degrees, without clouds in the sky and a lot of wind. It was great for those with Kites. We had all inclusive and we made friends with another family who had half board and paid for lunch and everything they bought at the bars, including the one at the beach. I do not recommend half board. The staff was very kind and many times they would take the towel from your hand and put it on the sunbeds so that you could give them a tip. If you didn't grab it well from the deckchair, the wind would blow it away. I recommend the hooks for hanging towels on the deckchairs, no matter how windy it was there. At the beach, you could find free sunbeds even after 9 o'clock, probably because many were going on excursions. We stayed at the beach until 6 p.m., and the bar was open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There were flat water cans at the beach where you could fill your bottles if you wanted to supplement the water in your room. We also made friends with an older family who stayed only one day in the hotel, for the rest they visited the Pyramids, Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, Cairo and they said that if we ever want to go, we shouldn't go with the children after us because it's tiring , hot, windy, a lot of dust, bad smell and a lot of dust and sand gets everywhere.
I have mixt feelings about this hotel, it's a pretty decent place, but it feels like it has lost it's magic. The central garden is lifeless, presumably there was a lazy river pool at some point, where now is forbidden to swim, there are some "modern" umbrellas by the other pools, which look cheap, have no charm at all, at the beach the sunbeds are almost all broken, have tears on them, the plastic cups for the beach are overused, even clean look dirty. You can get some general icecream only one hour/day, only at one certain bar, you can have "chocholate hour" at one lounge, it is advertised as swiss chocholate, but it's some sweet stuff, nothing to do with swiss quality. The rooms are spacious enough, but most need some refresh or renovation. On the other hand the food service was a pleasant surprize, the mastermind behind the salad/dessert/fruit selection deserves a salary raise, for sure. We would have liked more of seafood or fish, only on saturday had seafood and there was every day one fish, but most days it was a very fat kind of fish, but you had definitely a good selection of other food from where to choose. The breakfast was mostly repetitive, but the omelet shefs made you some very tasty eggs with a good selection of extras. The staff is friendly, helpful, kids have great fun in the waterpark, although the water is very! cold.
