Mövenpick Waterpark Resort & Spa Soma Bay

Good afternoon, We have been at the hotel in May 2022 and have came back May 2025. We enjoy the nice promenade - territory, which is beautifully kept with its flowers, greenery. The Beach is also nice and well kept by the staff. For the food - there is always a variety and choice for everyone to find something for themselves. For the Animation team - very charming and nice warm vibe - always eager to welcome and interact with the guests. Eva is our star - from day 1 during all of our stay always kept in touch, offered activities, informed about all show events and made sure we are happy)

Amazing services, and great location!! We recently visited Movenpick Soma Bay, and spent 4 days at this great resort!! From the very first minute we arrived, we noticed right away that it’s all about the service!! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our short visit is a memorable vacation. From the front desk, reserving the restaurants, room service, and housekeeping. Everyone was so amazing and their main focus is to please us. I don’t want to mention names and may forget someone, however and having said that, a very special thanks goes to Mr. Mina Guirguis that he was very fast in responding to my messages online even before our arrival to the resort. He made sure everything that we requested got fulfilled so quickly and to our satisfaction, and kept following up to make sure everything was working out for us. We were group of 5 adults and booked 2 rooms. All of us were so pleased with everything!! Also, Mr. Shady did an amazing job making sure our stay is comfortable!! The only thing could have been better is the music at the restaurants, it was sad tone music and not matching a fun place as this resort, other than that, everything else was beyond excellent!! Keep up the amazing work and great services. We love traveling a lot and we visit many countries and many resorts. This was our first time at Movenpick & Waterpark Soma Bay Egypt, but certainly won’t be the last visit!! We will be back for sure!! Thank you

The best splash mania waterpark hotel was a nice big and very comfortable . Food very good . Sswimmpolls and see was beautifill . We can comeback soon . Very big space to vacation . I hope come back soon and waterpark - crazy and fun . I love this place

Besides the fact the room was dirty and later on we found out that part of the hotel is renovated and this part with our room is not, everything else deserves less than one star. It is hard to describe the entire experience in a few words, but that would be awfull. Please. if you read this try to look into it before going here. Please don't make the mistake of having the worst experience of your life, like I did. I will start with saying the water is not potable, but even drinking bottled water I had stomach aches and more than that for 4-5 days out of 7. Or maybe it was the food, hard to tell. The main restaurant has a buffet, you have some options but the food is decent, like in a 2 star hotel let's say. The resort has also a couple of specific restaurants, like chinese, italian lebanese. Let's just say that I had dinner in the italian restaurant and the frozen pizza I eat at home when I am lazy is nowhere near the what they gave us. You cannot even imagine. Chinese as well, it is not even close to anything that you had before, it is BAD. Because it is a 5 star resort they will give you 2 small bottles of water each day and then if you tip or buy you get more, forgot to mention that. The beach is amazing. NO, for the love of God. I am just being ironic. The entire time I was dreaming about Greece and I would have paid double just to be there. The water was very cold, same in the pool (this being the first week of May). So without a beautiful beach, without a warm pool and good food (you will need to pay for canned soda :)) as they give you from the soda machine everything), so without all these what do you have left? Well I did a trip to Luxor which was about 3 hours away, this being the closest thing to visit, where I've visisted Karnak temple. If you are thinking of visiting the pyramids you should consider looking for accomodation somewhere in Cairo as this one is really far away and in my opinion it is not worth it. It would be more to say, but I think this is enough and I am really looking to forget the worst experience of my life. But if you do decide to visit Egypt, please keep in mind to have small money, be carefull as there are no prices and they set that on the spot and most important have pills from home with you as you will have stomach issue for sure.

Better than the first time. We came two years ago, and it was also very good. The hotel, the splash, all was good and the staff is still nice and polite : omar, mohamed, mohamed aliem, marwan from the pool; islam, khaled, mostafa, ahmed from the splash ; khaled, mardy, omar, from the main restaurant. All are very nice and professionnel.
