Appreciation Review – Mövenpick Makkah I have stayed at the Mövenpick Makkah twice before the renovation, and I recently had the pleasure of staying again after the renovation. I must say, I absolutely loved it. The renovation has been done beautifully. The room was excellent, the bathroom was modern and very well designed, and the color scheme inside the room and throughout the hotel was perfect. Everything felt fresh, elegant, and thoughtfully planned. I truly loved every part of it. I would especially like to thank Duty Manager Omar, who was outstanding. I asked him for particular help, and he was delighted to assist. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help made a big difference in our stay. My sincere thanks also go to Chef Helper Marwan, Abdulmaboud, and Restaurant Manager Abdulhannan. They made us feel truly special and well cared for. Their hospitality and warm attitude were exceptional. One thing I clearly noticed during this stay was the very positive atmosphere throughout the hotel. It genuinely felt like everyone was happy to be working there, and that positive energy reflected in the service and overall experience. I truly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend Mövenpick Makkah. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Visited for umrah and stayed for 5 days (first time stay). Since I was traveling with family (elderly and kids), after categorically mentioning that we needed the rooms to be on the same floor we were refused in the name of availability (placed on floors 16, 20 and 24) and asked to come in and check availability the next day at checkout time. Even after visiting the front desk multiple times for the purpose we were asked to wait in our rooms and the front desk would contact us soon but sadly they never bothered contacting or solved the issue and so we were unable to fulfil our religious obligations with the peace of mind that we were hoping for. The bathrooms are super cramped with hardly any space to shower in a quad room with haram view.. the shower water mixer wasn’t working and when complained the plumbing kept insisting that quote “we didn’t know how to use the showers..” this however, was not the case with other 2/3 rooms. The rooms generally were cramped with beds like 4 beds in a clearly 3 bed or 2 bed space.. after placing the luggage, moving about was impossible. The housekeeping was clearly overworked as every time we’d request a room makeup they’d slide the door tag from under our doors back in and refuse completely to make up the room. The beds and linen had a stale moist feel to it and the room was just not fresh and clean as expected of a 5 star Accor property. Plus points: easy access to haram and adequate lifts to cater to huge numbers.

Great Pilgrim possible from this property. Location is too close to Haram. If you go down, you will be Infront of the Haram. All amenities are nearby.

Overall, our experience with Move N Pick was very good. The service was well organized, and everything went smoothly, which we truly appreciated. The staff was helpful and responsive, making our stay comfortable. However, there were a couple of small areas that could be improved. The supply of toilet paper was quite limited, and the breakfast menu was the same every day, which became repetitive over time. Adding more variety to breakfast and being a bit more generous with basic supplies would greatly enhance the overall experience. Despite these minor issues, it was a good experience overall, and we are thankful for their services.
