Well the breakfast buffet is similar food everyday not a big choice to choose from hotel location n proximity is very close room wise not friendly while check out cleanliness is not good at all very dusty room very very dusty hotel amenities and outdated and old but the price is like other hotel of better standards in terms of money u can get a better hotel at the same price
Really enjoyed our stay here and with my families. Room service is great and clean and can get access to many things when in need. Well recommended hotel. Room service Jowel looked after us and processed us with facilities required. Very well maintained and organised.
21/03/2025 I gave 3 stars because, in my opinion, the facilities provided under the name of a 5-star hotel do not truly reflect that standard. The hotel’s mosque is shared by five major hotels, with unrestricted access, meaning anyone can enter. The security staff behave as if they own the hotel, which is quite unprofessional. For the price of £9,000 for the last 10 days of Ramadan, the experience should have been far better. Last year, I stayed at Address Jabal Omar during the same period. While it was a bit farther from the Haram, the customer service and food quality were significantly better than at Mövenpick. Despite the distance, the elevators were quick and efficient, whereas at Mövenpick, guests struggle to get a lift, especially during peak times, making the journey to the Haram even longer. The restaurant management was also disappointing. I complained to the manager when some guests forcefully sat in a seat I had reserved while my wife was getting food. Instead of addressing the issue, the manager simply directed me to a different table. If quick access to the Haram is a priority, Hilton Suites, Makkah Tower, and even Hilton Convention are much better options than Mövenpick, in my opinion.
I stay in now movenpick hotel makkah.i think its one of the best hotel in makkah.now ramadan time i feel very special in this hotel, housekeeping all the time make my stay happy.lot of care and clean my room properly. Specail thanks to brother maruf uddin for my stay comfortable and Memorable ❤️❤️
Needs to do better. Room messed up, triple instead of quad room that was paid for. Congested, narrow room. No return calls from duty manager. Poor organisation in basement security, the security staff need more training and learn English. Booked a quad room, and turn up to find only 3 beds. Reception staff are friendly and helpful and arranged 4th bed but it should have been arranged already and a bigger room altogether. Too congested even after adding this in. Do not book a quad. Also not sound proof between connecting doors. Small bathroom and width of room is too narrow to cater for 4 travellers. Floor 32 had a bad odour of smoking at some times and also a room that was for odds and sods, like spare beds and tiles, and other bric a brac. Door left open and left further bad odours in the corridor and not appealing when walking to the lifts. Expected more from Movenpick having stayed here before for Umrah. Breakfast was great and staff are generally very good. On leaving, the basement staff for arranging cars to pick us up to next destination was terrible. Understood it being after Jumuah would be traffic, but staff not trained, do not talk English and not visibly helping to assist travellers out. This creates a bottleneck and we ended up waiting an hour for car to pick us up (drivers fault too) but not helped by poor organisation. Remember to book car in with security in advance and get the hotel security code then sent to driver otherwise you will be stuck/delayed. Hotel room didn't get resolved at all. Duty Manager tried to call 2 days into our stay, but we were out and no message or notes left. No refund, no upgrades. Very poor service. Do not recommend.
