This hotel is the worst in Makkah. They made us (compulsory) pay for Iftar (Ramadan breakfast) although we explained that we don’t want to eat in the hotel and we may arrive late but they insist and when we arrived they say its too late and we missed it, we asked to take sohor (late night meal in ramadan) but they refused. This is unbecoming fraud and should not be done by a Mövenpick. Also rooms are outdated and smelly.
Stayed for three nights where the booking was for three rooms partial Kaba View. Arrived one day before the month of Ramadan where the hotel was not still that much busy. Advantages; - Smooth check in. - Did accommodated our request for connected rooms. - Steps away from Kaba (holy place). - Restaurants managers and waiters are extremely attentive. Disadvantages - charged my credit card twice when gave them the authorization to charge for the stay. - Cooking smell at the Corridor. - Didn’t accept to change my selection of Suhoor (Dinner) to futtor even though I was having the option while check in but once selected it can not be changed despite that I did not use any of them. Tried even with the duty manager but refused too ! - TV is too small and using android device that is outdated and require always to be updated. - Room are over used and needs extreme cleaning / changing of the carpet. - Took them 6 hours to bring the third bed as per our booking despite my 4 calls. - Curtains are not fully closing at the sides.
Booked by travel company for umroh. I stayed with my wife and three daughters in room 1230 . We checked in on Saturday March 11, 2023 evening, arrived from medina. Although we arrived in group, but check in process was so smooth, however there were no welcome drink. We have pleasant experiences in restaurant with Mubarak, he is very nice, friendly and very helpful. However, as an Accor Member with membership number 3081031493522313, I can’t claim my point because it was booked by travel company, I think this policy should be reviewed. Even though the booking is done by the travel company, but I, as an Accor member present by myself.
I really enjoyed my stay at Movenpick. It was the second time to stay in this hotel. The service is awesome. The housekeeping are professional and friendly especially a guy named Shimummal. He is from Bangladesh. Although, he was a new employee, he was doing so good.
I left my iPhone charger near the sofa, it was 3m long and bright yellow colour with blog, I sent my friend straight away to collect it but you said you will look for it but no answer until now please let me know where is my iPhone charger, thanks you
