They accepted that the floor on which they gave room will be renovated-how can they charge guest for such rooms then

It took 20 minutes for the reception to do the check in process although we had requested for two suites on the same floor and there beds - the property needs renovation, especially the washroom loos very shabby and don’t look like of five star

Hmmmmmn not sure about this one

This hotel met my basic expectations, but its pricing was excessive for the quality of accommodations provided. Notably, the hotel failed to accommodate guests with disabilities effectively. The staff’s demeanor could be perceived as unfriendly, which may have been influenced by cultural differences. I am British Pakistani if that helps?! The breakfast options were limited and of poor quality. On several occasions, the menu lacked items that I typically enjoy. The presentation of the food as high-quality was misleading, as it appeared less appetizing than the breakfast served at another establishment. The restaurant staff were courteous and deserving of better compensation. The primary advantage of this hotel is its location, which is crucial for those planning to perform Umrah or Hajj. However, for a five-star establishment, significant improvements are necessary to enhance the overall guest experience. The bed was comfortable, but the room’s layout resembled a compact apartment in London. The presence of an unexpected stove and a kettle on top of it created a cramped and uncomfortable atmosphere. It appeared as if the hotel had maximized the number of rooms in the building. The hotel’s elevator system was confusing, which was more attributable to the surrounding mall than to the hotel itself.

All in one hotel

I travel solo for Umroh Sept 2024. Thats why I choose Movenpick since the location is right on Haram’s terrace. I preferred going here and there by walk, instead of using Uber etc. The room was huge, everything I need like boiler or mineral water was in the room. The hotel staf borrow me a 3 prong plug, since I forgot to bring that from Indonesia The breakfast was perfect. There are 2 areas for breakfast, M and M2. The hotel staf call me everyday to check my condition, like is there anything I need or maybe I want something. I dont know thats because I am a female solo traveler or they do to all their guest. But I think thats a very nice SOP Btw, the hotel location also inside the zam2 tower. And everything you need is in the tower. Resto, mall, foods, supermarket, Rasul Muhammad saw museum etc. And I mean everything Will choose this hotel again if I have a chance to come back Mekkah Insya Allah

A very bad experience. I don't recommend anyone to stay there. The worst guest service. The room check-in procedures are very long. In the end, I was taken to a very unclean room designated for people with special needs. When I asked to change the room with difficulty, no apology was given and I was treated indifferently. I would rather stay at Fairmont or Swissotel. The experience with them was much better. Manal Hassan
