Front Office Staff named Bow was very professional and efficient during checkin. Checkout was superfast too. Concierge Guys were very polite at the door, each time we leave and return. Holiday Spa staff named Sunshine was very friendly and proactive. We took 02 packages on separate days and both sessions were very relaxing and revujenating. The Masseurs were very professional and approachable as well. I have been here twice this year and both times were equally impressed by the services.
The hotel is big and centrally located. Walking distance for many locations. There is parking space on the third floor of a garage which can be accessed from the road to the side of the hotel (Loi Kroh Road). It can be a bit awkward to find. From the parking there is access to the hotel. Our room smelled a bit musty but was sufficiently large with a nice bathroom. There is a fridge, a safe, a desk and a sofa. It is also quiet and sleeping quality is good. The pool is quite small with enough seating around it and a pool bar. Unfortunately the inevitable music you don’t want to hear. I want quiet or something of my own choice through ear buds. Same in the gym, but they turn it off on request. The breakfast is an extensive buffet with a lot of choice. Wi-Fi works well most of the time, is not superfast though.
My second time staying here this year. Seems like service gets worse everytime 1 Check in: 1⭐️You would think an Accor hotel would have this sorted but the worst experience. Apparently amex doesn't work on booking site. Which is I guess a banking issue ? but you can't tap amex card using your phone any other card is ok just amex. Would be good to know all this before hand. I needed a king bed instead of twins so I downgraded from deluxe to classic , which is down 2 levels and also paid the same fine it's my fault. But some empathy from the reception would be nice kept me waiting in lobby for an extra hour after room was ready when I was told that they would call me when it was ready. In total I waited 3 hours. Also usually in other places they offer to join the two beds to make a king. Thats what mercure in bkk did. 2. Room condition: The red sofa in the pictures looks so bad in reality all the color and material is dated and cushioing is very poor hurt my back bathroom is tiny max 1 person can be inside at a time. View outside my room is the wall of another building quite close too. 3. From this experience better to book the duangtawan next door as value for money cause clearly in both cases you get the same dated infrastructure but at-least in the case of the later you pay 30% less.
I stayed here as a gold member status of ACCORPLUS; so I got room upgrade upon my check-in to bigger room. However, the upgrade room is in the old building of car park and the room itself is very dated. Outside window is very dirty. Not really appreciated for the condition of hotel and the room. I understand this is an old hotel and MOVENPICK just moved in, but it should be renovated to match status of 4* Movenpick level. For me, it is like 2.5 or 3* only. However, staff service and breakfast are wonderful. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is absolutely brilliant, lot of choice. Location is also very good, short walk to Night Bazaar and other street food, centrally located in Chiang Mai.
Hotel Room facility look very old and poor customer service in front counter.. Breakfast less choice. Not worth for the Rate.
