Mövenpick Suriwongse Chiang Mai

I stayed at the Movenpick Suriwongse with a small group of friends as part of a golfing trip. Everyone enjoyed staying here. Whilst the hotel is starting to show its age, the rooms we had were large, well-appointed and comfortable with everything in working order. One downside, that cannot be fixed, is the size of the shower stall which is very small. Opening the curtains will allow the room to be lighter but even then they are dark - this is a common fault with many hotels. At night, the lighting is barely adequate to be able to read. The breakfast is good and caters for everyone's tastes and the restaurant was large enough to fit customers in comfortably without being crammed in. The location is very good with a smallish night market and street food on the adjacent streets. The pool area is small and the gym is also very small and under-equipped - the hotel needs to get heavier weights - 6kg barbells does not really cut it! If you are travelling the Chiang Mai, this hotel is perfectly adequate to base yourselves in.

The check-in process was smooth, and the room was well-prepared. I was pleasantly surprised by the room upgrade to a suite. Thank you very much for the upgrade. Regarding the dinner at the restaurant, which was included in my room booking, there was a minor issue upon arrival. I had previously confirmed the dinner reservation via email, but the staff handled the situation promptly and efficiently. The dinner was delicious and of excellent value. I would like to commend the staff who served us during dinner, especially Ms. Bo, Mr. Bird, and Ms. Kik. The breakfast was also very good, exceeding my expectations.

Great location and easy access for local food. Night market is just at main street . Staff is friendly and especially Ms Nuchy where she give me a good services. Since i am Accor Platinum. got free room upgrade and complimentary airport transfer. Evening cocktail food is great

great location and within walking distance to local food and nigher market well taken care by hotel staff especially Ms Nuchy with her care and hospitality. Will define stay there again in near future. Breakfast is good and hotel upgrade my room due to i am accor platinum member.

This hotel is very, very old and tired. Tread bare carpet. Marked walls and plaster coming off some places. Shower kept going hot and cold. Bed hard even with a topper pad. The staff and food is nice.
