Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok

For members of the Accor ALL loyalty program, in Bangkok this Mövenpick is one of the hotels where we have the highest chance of suite upgrade, in part because they have lots of suites to begin with, and also because the hotel is not stingy with upgrades. As Diamond guest I was proactively upgraded to a Wellness Suite; that said, there are other suite types below that Platinums could be upgraded to as well. The suite was classic and in great condition with some touches of luxury such as the Japanese toilets. Happy hour for Platinum and Diamond guests was offered near the reception area and included some hors d'oeuvres and a rotating choice of daily cocktail. The restaurant for breakfast is an inviting venue with super high ceiling so it does not feel cramped. I found the buffet to be appropriate for this level of hotel. I would have no hesitation returning to this hotel as part of a rotation of the best Accor hotels in Bangkok which includes Banyan Tree, Sofitel Sukhumvit, and SO. I might peg this Mövenpick ahead of the three Pullmans in the city, Swissotel, MGallery, and definitely far ahead of the other Mövenpick property (the one on Sukhumvit Soi 15).

It’s a really good resort for someone looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of Bangkok. Staff were all attentive & friendly! Easy to get around via grab. Also they have TWO albino peacocks 😍 & and steam room. Pool wasn’t crowded, no screaming kids is a plus point definitely

Our stay was amazing!! The check-in staff were fantastic and after a long day of travelling, it was the perfect start to our holiday. Staff, food, and ambience were phenomenal!! The room and the facilities (spa, gym, restaurants and pool area) were well above standard. If you are coming to Bangkok, I would highly recommend.

I’ve been a regular at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok for years and always enjoyed my stays – until my visit from March 20–23, 2025. I messed up by booking two non-refunded rooms, my mistake. At check-in, I explained I only needed one and showed the Accor app where the second was marked as canceled. The staff promised to sort it out, but I was still charged for both. What turned this into bad will was how they handled it. I dealt with multiple staff who gave empty promises, and later got an email claiming a "no show" for a room I’d paid for. No effort was made to address my frustration during the stay. I wrote to the General Manager, who replied via private email with an apology and a small compensation offer, but I’d have much preferred if they’d resolved it smoothly from the start. To make matters worse, there’s a booking in my app for June 20–21, 2025, that I didn’t make, and despite raising this, it’s still there unresolved. As a loyal guest, I’m disappointed. If they’d handled this better, I’d have kept coming back for many more stays. Their chance for goodwill became bad will, and now I’m turning to hotels that show more care. I hope they improve for future guests.
