Quick Escape

It was my first time in Morocco . My husband book this beautiful Hotel. Me and my husband had so much fun. Food was amazing, staff are very friendly, the ambience of the hotel was expectacular. From the security and Bell boys who assist us , From the Front desk who accomodate us from last minute . Mr. Mohammed(not so sure if thats his real name? ) But anyway . Thankyou so much for your help. And from the restaurant Ms. Naima ,she is a very sweet person and very welcoming . She make our dine especial. As a filipino ,she let me try the specialties of Moroccans. She let us try different kinds of pastries which is soo good. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights . Its just very quick .. I fell inlove with those moroccan teas . .. I even tried the Hammam for the first time. Thats very amazing. I fell inlove with the culture . We had a espectacular sweet and quick trip in Morocco.. We will definitely back . Thankyou somuch ..

Absolutely brilliant!

My husband and visited Marrakech for the first time and had an amazing experience. We found our stay absolutely incredible and we would like to thank the staff at Movenpick Hotel for making our stay so wonderful. We already had a deluxe room booked but upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised that we were upgraded to a beautiful luxury suite. This room had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool and a lovely floral terrace which was absolute stunning. The hotel itself is breathtaking and decor is outstanding. The complex itself is huge sporting restaurants, a hairdresser, shops, museum/ gallery, restaurants, bars, cafe/shop and much more. There is never a dull moment in the hotel and everyday we found somewhere new to visit. The bar area both indoor and outside were really relaxing and service was excellent at all times. I loved the music and vibe, it was not too loud and it was very relaxing. Staff were always acknowledging us and ensuring we were comfortable. I felt this touch was very personal and appreciated it as it made the trip extra special. The breakfast was my favourite as there was so much choice and staff always went out of their way to help. We would like to thank Sammi and his team for the most generous hospitality, the service they provided daily was outstanding! The swimming pools were clean and tended to regularly. I have previously mentioned the spa service and how wonderful the massages were, it was hard to leave the complex after feeling so relaxed! Najia has magic hands and made us feel very special! The hotel has taxi’s outside so it’s easy to get around. There’s a really good dessert place opposite the hotel (2 mins walking distance). Concierge staff are really helpful and will arrange excursions, chauffeur service and provide maps and advice/ guidance on restaurants and local attractions. They will also provide money exchange when needed. This service was invaluable for us and it was very much appreciated. It was my husband’s birthday and the staff all ensured he had a great celebration. The little extra touches like the birthday decorations and staff singing Happy Birthday made his day! Things to note- busy seasons means more people and crowded areas in the restaurants and pools. This should be expected and staff try their best to accommodate all. We had no issue with anyone speaking English in fact all staff we spoke with (apart from housekeeping which was understandable broken English) we had no problems at all in communicating. Also, it pays to be nice to staff, they work hard in this hotel and deserve the extra tip! Confirm a price with taxis before getting in, there will be no problem getting around and you don’t have to worry about hidden charges. We could go on about our time at the Movenpick however sadly, like our stay it has to end. We would like to say a very special thank you to the beautiful Lamia for being so kind and helpful, Saad for being so knowledgeable and helpful always ensuring the very best service (and a fully charged power bank!), Anas again for ensuring we were always happy and comfortable, the housekeeping for always keeping us hydrated and our room spotless and finally of course the very sweet Mohammed for making the most amazing Morrocan tea for us! He was so genuine and kind. Good luck with your marriage Mohammed and hope to see you again. Thank you again to all for making our stay so wonderful. We will be recommending the hotel to family and friends and most certainly will visit again! We wish all of you the very best regards!

Family holiday

The hotel is clean and spacious with plenty of sunbeds around the pool areas. Staff are courteous and friendly especially at breakfast, Nouhaila who is so warm and friendly on the reception area for breakfast. Sami the chef is very attentive and friendly to accommodate any dietary needs. Overall this is a lovely hotel it can be busy with clients from the nearby conference centre. However the staff are fantastic with everyone. This was our second visit and hopefully we shall be back. I also visited the spa the staff were knowledgeable and helpful with decisions to my treatment and it was impeccably clean and comfortable. Highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely atrocious and negligent hotel

If 0 stars was an option that would be my choice. my sister and I stayed in Mövenpick Hotels Marrakech for 7 nights and the experience at the hotel was mediocre as a whole. On the last night, 6 hours before we were due to fly home the next morning my sister felt a sharp scratch on her foot, which I found strange as I had the same thing the night before. We investigated the situation and found a thick, long, sharp needle poking through the bed sheet. We took pictures of the needle and immediately went to the lobby to inform a manager. After talking to the general manager, we were laughed at by the staff. To make matters worse, the man we was talking to wasn’t even a general manager and was actually a bar manager. The whole 7 nights we have stayed the bed sheets have not been changed and we had the same bed sheets as the guests before us. We spent 2+ hours trying to get someone to resolve the situation and get a refund for compensation on the hotel and had nothing but disrespect and negligence from everyone we had spoken to. We came back to our room and they hadn’t even bothered to remove the needle we found! I’d recommend anyone that is planning on booking here to not. You will receive bad service and you will sleep in the same bed sheets as the people (s) before you had.
