MÖVENPICK RESORT & SPA JIMBARAN BALI

The room my family and l stayed in was absolutely stunning with the view and much more!! Something that could be improved on this hotel is that there could be more water slides for older kids in the pool area, and also not having to check in and out your pool towels since it puts pressure of guests to make sure to return the towel.

This was my second visit to Movenpick Resort Jimbaran. My first stay was excellent, which is why I decided to return, but unfortunately, this time was a letdown. Upon arrival, things started off on the wrong foot. I arrived around dinner time, only to find that my room wasn’t ready. The receptionist, who was speaking to a colleague on the phone right in front of us, made us wait for 30 minutes without any explanation. As a platinum member, I expected much better service, and this was a frustrating start to the stay. Later, since it was already late and we didn't feel like venturing out, we decided to dine at the resort's restaurant. I ordered a fish burger, but to my disappointment, the fish was bland and lacked flavor. For a resort of this caliber, I expected a lil better quality food. That said, the resort itself still has its charm. It looks beautiful, and the pool is amazing – a real highlight of the property. The design is tasteful and well-maintained, which still made for a pleasant atmosphere despite the setbacks. While the overall experience didn’t meet expectations this time, I still believe the resort has great potential. Hopefully, my next visit will be more in line with the quality I experienced during my first stay.

Amazing place. Beautiful stay with surrounding area walking to beach. But most enjoyable is the staff and their attitude, special mention to Sherila for her welcoming smile and help. Definitely a come back next yr with kids. Thank You Movenpick and special thanks to Bali people.

Check-in run smoothly, we got a nice room with twin beds, we came with two kids. The staff are friendly welcoming us and offer additional assistance when needed, good gesture really appreciated Overall experience are excellent, like the ambience specially the pools and kids club as the kids enjoy to spend the time there, room is nice and clean, thanks for the welcome fruit.

We recently stayed for 7 nights in a Junior Suite at Movenpick Jimbaran. We had a 4 year old and 2 year old who loved the resort. The kids club was great, although my children didn’t participate in the scheduled activities, the kids just wanted to play with the toys and on the play equipment. The staff greeted my children by name each visit and were very warm and friendly. The children’s swimming and water play areas were also great, with the inflatable obstacle course catering for older kids. We also found the kids menu quite extensive and appreciated the kids section at the buffet breakfast. We found the resort offered everything we needed as a family and kept our children entertained. We loved the size of our Junior Suite, especially the large wardrobe which neatly fitted all of our luggage and also accommodated our 2 year old in the cot during his day naps! We did find however, our room was extremely noisy. We were allocated a room on the 8th floor, directly next door to the new rooftop restaurant and the shopping area. The corridor is open on one side so the noise from the shopping area travels up and is very loud during the 5pm and 7pm cultural performances, lasting approx 1 hour each. At the conclusion of the cultural performance, the restaurant either has live entertainment or a DJ playing until at least 10pm. It was really difficult to sleep. I have never complained about noise before as usually it doesn’t bother me but this was loud! The hotel did offer to move our room to a more quiet area which we did appreciate. Luckily the hotel wasn’t busy at the time and we were offered serval options to choose from. But I do think that in the future, this needs to be addressed by management as it was really unpleasant. I also found the general presentation of the grounds and pool area to be a little tired. Perhaps because we had stayed at an immaculate Nusa Dua resort prior to our arrival at the Movenpick, but I noticed the edges of the pool and the waterpark to all appear stained and dirty, making the facilities look old. In terms of the location, it might not be for everyone. Jimbaran is 30 mins from the hustle and bustle of Kuta which also means being away from the huge variety of food, shopping and entertainment that Bali can be known for. The resort is next to a shopping area with approx 10 restaurants and maybe 4 or so clothing stores. There were also some small Balinese souvenir type stalls and shops. Plus there are many seafood restaurants along the beach with additional dining options at other resorts a short drive away. So we enjoyed this location but it might not be for everyone. All in all, we had a great stay and I would recommend the Movenpick to those traveling with children.
