Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse

I had a lovely time at the hotel , the rooms were clean and spacious . Nice pool areas and a nice sandy beach. Staff were friendly, particularly brahim who went above and beyond to make our dining experience pleasant especially that i was travelling with a two year old .

Yahya at the reception checked us in and also surprised me with a lovely birthday cake.He has gone above and beyond for us and we are so grateful to him At breakfast Amine & Rachid have really looked after us.Thankyou so much we will never forget yout kindness

Good buffet breakfasts/dinners. Very pleasant common areas though indoor seating can be limited and smoking is permitted there. The music from the bar area can be annoyingly loud. It's disappointing that the cafe and specialty restaurant only have [not very special] street views. Staff are pleasant and helpful but rooms are not refreshed properly by housekeeping. Service a little slow.

Impressive lounge, beautiful pool area and it faces the beach, but is not a white sand beach… The room was spacious, beautiful, large balcony facing the pool and the sea (the latter a bit far) with all the amenities - sleepers included. Large food variety in a clean and safe ambiance - all the cooking team was wearing gloves and they did not allow guests to take the food without using the tongs (bare hands were not welcome :)) I saw them calling guest’s attention a few times and kudos for them and the hotel management team for that. Best way to guarantee the safety of all guests and prevent an outbreak of food poisoning. The only reason I am not giving 5 is because I almost fell walking in the pathway to the lounge after raining overnight and nobody remove the pods that were still there in the morning.

The room was decent. Other than that, the experience was awful. Check in took nearly a half hour for no reason, when I asked why it took so long they said “it’s always this way.” Big red flag. There are barely any signs in this hotel and everything looks the same - we got lost multiple times, as did everyone else we saw. When we asked for help, staff was generally rude. And this hotel is BIG - you get lost, you’re walking another ten minutes to find your room. Plus, elevators are slow and often went to the wrong floor. Outdoor pools were not heated, indoor pool was very crowded. When I called to ask if there was a sauna, the staff was rude and wouldn’t answer me. The breakfast was a nightmare - messy, no silverware, waiting in long lines for mediocre food. We should’ve just gone across the street to the nice cafe and paid for something better. The paperwork inside the room lists the incorrect times for the restaurants / dining. No conditioner offered in the room, and the lotion seemed like it had been watered down. Overall, stressful and very unpleasant stay. No idea why this has such good reviews - I’d like my money back. Really feel like I got scammed. Never again am I staying at a Movenpick. 0/5
