This hotel was ok the reception and pool area look stunning, the room was average had great heating control and a patio to sit outside , the pool area was nice but as it was cold wasn’t really in use but it looked nice, u can use the spa pool (heated)but there are timings. Our rooms phone line wasn’t working we had to ask reception numerous times and having to call via mobiles and last day of our trip was fixed, the staff are very helpful and friendly the only thing i didnt like was on the day of arrival we used the restaurant in hotel opp reception and as it was rushed as the manager rushed us as it was closing time, once to go get food again as its buffet we only just sat down and second to get desserts i found that unproffesional the food was ok nothing woaw just ok. So glad i only booked breakfast most of the breakfast items were cold, sausages, wedges, so stuck to a hot omelette the day after for a big hotel i would expect higher standards, also the bread area a piece bread was on the floor the waiter picked it up cut it like nothing happened and put back for people to eat,the spa was amazing overall if i stayed here again i wouldnt eat here there amazing places in walking distance, the location is good as close by u have atm and souvenir shops 5 mins walking distance, food n souvenirs are easy to get close by. overall staff are helpful and happy welcoming people just a few things that need to be fixed
I recently stayed at the Movenpicj for the first time visiting Tunisia. The hotel is very beautiful having everything you could need for facilities. Security was good so definitely felt safe and the staff were all very friendly. With a lot of things first impressions make a difference and when checking in we was provided a nice drink and the receptionist Ghofran greeted us with a smile and was extremely professional. She speaks French also and was more than happy to answer any questions about local places to go, the right price for a cab and what the hotel has to offer. She changed our currency and nothing was to much trouble going above and beyond. She was a credit as well as other staff we met throughout our stay to the movenpick brand and I will be booking again shortly.
Beautiful place to stay and wish I’d stayed for longer! Would definitely come back. Delicious breakfasts, though a shame that the pancakes/crepes are not made there and then but instead heated up. Rooms are spacious and clean, comfy beds. Indoor pool and heated pools were so good, beach was also lovely and lots of spots in the hotel to chill and enjoy the view or take photos. Location is great as there’s food places and bars within walking distance. Shame there’s no hotel entertainment to get the full Tunisian experience, wouldn’t mind a live violinist or a singer occasionally in such a classy hotel.
Hi, I live in Canada and i spent my vacation days in Movenpick Sousse with friends and it was the most enjoyable days. How beautiful the room and its cleanliness and the cleanliness of the bathroom. Thank you , room supervisor, for the good treatment and thank you also the housekeeping telephone reception for the good reception and providing our requirements on time.
This hotel is a disgrace. I don’t even knows where to start. The staff are the biggest problem, rude, corrupt or both! For example; one afternoon I went to lunch and was gone from the pool around an hour, when I returned all my belongings had been thrown on the floor and my sun lounger taken. It turned out this wasn’t a guest but a random guy from the street who knows the shift manager. He went into a panic when I asked the name of the hotel GM so I could complain and found me another lounger, opposite where I had been, where I had to watch his interactions with his friend at the other side of the pool. As I was observing my surroundings it became apparent that this was quite common, local people would come in pay the manager some money and get extra special treatment, while the hotel guests would at best be ignored. It didn’t end here, I sprained my ankle the day before I was due to leave (not related to the hotel). As I was struggle to walk I went to reception to book another night, despite not having has a pleasant time at all. The receptionist was extremely nasty and hostile from the outset. A rude man with a condescending demeanour, he ultimately started booking a room, the changed his mind and said they were full. This was a lie; I booked a room online. I did confront the receptionist about his behaviour and explained I couldn’t understand what he had gained from being so nasty, he was then going out of his way to be ‘fake pleasant’ for the next two days so as not to get a complaint, embarrassingly so by the time I left. Otherwise the place is dirty, unsafe and unkempt. The room hasn’t been cleaned properly and had broken furniture, the sun loungers were absolutely filthy, the parasols dirty, mouldy and with holes, they serve little tuna pizzas that had gone stale and are inedible and not safe for consumption, The door staff are relatively personable, but all other staff you encounter and dismissive and low key hostile. This place is utterly disgraceful and a terrible stain on the Movenpick brand. It was my first time at a Movenpick hotel, there certainly will not be a second one after this experience.
