Good hotel - but a couple of improvements required before I’d give it 5 stars
Stayed here with family in Aug 25 as the first part of a 3 week multi location Bali trip and part of a wider 4 week Asia trip. Having booked directly with the Accor central reservations team and confirmed connecting rooms and number in our group it was disappointing on check in to initially be informed that the 2 rooms had only 1 double and 2 singles for a group of six. The hotel suggested to charge 100k per night, per bed, for 2 additional camp beds, but after remonstrating how unreasonable this was, and a discussion with the duty manager, the hotel informed me they would waiver the charge for extra beds. This left my group rather disappointed with the initial check in experience. The rooms were clean, spacious (even with the 2 extra mattresses we had to put on the floors), and the ground floor location of the connecting rooms (which we had already paid extra for) were great. The pool is large and with several pools all connected together - though we were really disappointed by the amount of cracked and damaged pools tiles. Two of our group cut their toes and required dressings. We later witnessed 2 maintenance guys glue some replacement tiles to the floor - whilst the pool was still full of water. I counted over 50 broken tiles in just one area- and many more with no sealant between unbroken tiles. It feels like hotel management are sleeping at the wheel here with respect to pool maintenance and the pool needs completely draining and repairing. There are hotel staff on raised chairs watching the swimmers - but on one occasion the hotel staff asked me to turn over a large inflatable wheel as he could not swim or get wet!! I have staying in many hotels in Asia where pools with so many broken tiles would be closed and seemed unfit for use. Breakfast is good, pricey, and usual chaos of having to wait to be seated, served very poor coffee etc. the egg station is good and the bread / pastries sections is also really good. The area around the hotel is pretty run down, basic, without paths so do bear in mind if travelling with a young family. The beach can be reached in 15 mins walk - mostly dodging mopeds and scooters and it’s good to head there for sunset and eat in one of the many many beach front restaurants. The movenpick chocolate hour was ok, nothing special, and reminded me of a wedding with a chocolate fountain, however it gets pretty busy with random guests sometimes 5 at a time ramming marshmallows on skewers into the chocolate fountain. There is a huge opportunity for the hotel to make this experience better and would suggest management take a closer look. So overall a good hotel, trying hard, but a solid 4* with lots to do to get to a 5……

Relaxing and inviting

Wow what a resort the service is fabulous the location is superb and the resort is exceptional. So beautifully presented and the rooms are the best I have experienced. If you’re traveling with little people they will love this resort, so children friendly.

A Dreamy Balinese Escape for Mon & Son
It felt like the stunning Balinese interior welcomed us the moment we stepped in. The spa room was also very comfortable, and thanks to the thoughtful care and excellent skills of Natalia and Prema, my 7-year-old son and I enjoyed a peaceful 90-minute escape that felt like a dream.
