Hania, the chambermaid, has made our experience really wonderful. She’s kept our room extremely clean and orderly and has been so pleasant to talk to. She is very kind and has given us wonderful recommendations.
I had the greatest hotel experience in Tunisia so far in Movenpick Hotel Sousse , I ve always been fond of its unique architecture and majestic entry and hall since we had our med-school prom night there back in 2017 ! One thing that I noticed and appreciated the most was the kindness of all the staff , from the very first moment with the receptionist to the barman to the cooks to the servers , always welcoming up with a smile and checking if we ever needed anything ! I want to give special credits and thanks to the Guest relation manager Miss Lobna Laajimi for looking after the quality of our stay every now and then and taking in regards our requests and remarks ! She was smiling to us and to every guest around us ! I can't wait to be back soon with family and friends and try the SPA ! The pool blue color graduation was mesmerizing and soothing .. took lots of snaps of that wonderful view kissing the beach and the sky line ! Proud and lucky to have visited such luxurious accommodations like Movenpick !
Really Happy for the exceptional service offered by all the staff. Special thanks to Aziz and Mariem and Lobna in customers relation and in the reception. Also spécial thanks to all the staff of Mosaïque restaurant for their excellent service and yummy food. Special Thanks as well to all the pools and beach service staff including Saber & his team. Highly recommend hotel and for sure I'll be back to this calm and relaxing hotel asap.
Nice looking hotel. Good points - large pool and great beach. That's it. Check in was quick and smooth, but left to take cases to our room ourselves. Stayed all inclusive, however, became apparent that all inclusive guests get the worst drinks and the worst food at the speciality restaurants. Booked Spanish and Japenese but very limited menu compared with paying guests. Also get smaller pizzas at the snack bar compared to the paying guests. Unless you book the Italian there is nowhere to eat outside, which is very disappointing. The all inclusive buffet was very limited in choice compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Tunisia. The tables are left and not cleared or set and we stuggled to find anywhere to sit every time we went there. Very poor. Room was ok, nothing 5 star about it. The aircon takes ages to cool the room and you have to leave it running 24/7 to keep it cool. Had an issue with our aircon and eventually, after making a LOT of fuss, they finally gave us another room. Had better aircon at cheaper hotels. Also, there is no plug socket near a mirror or near the kettle, which is a bit odd for a 5 star hotel. Maid cleaning service a bit hit and miss. Returned one day to find they had left our room door ajar, anyone could of walked in. Also, didn't leave towels and had to make two calls to reception before any arrived. Late check out was arranged for us but the room card was cut off before 12pm and we had to find someone to let us in. They have a Guest Relations desk in Reception and the only person worth speaking to is a pleasant lady with red lipstick. Don't bother with the gentlemen on there he doesn't seem to have a clue. Overall, we didn't enjoy the stay and wouldn't stay here again. It wasn't worth the extra we paid for being all inclusive. If you are a pay as you go guest you may enjoy it. There is nothing going on at the hotel in terms of entertainment or music so we went to bed early every night. No english TV channels and you can't even get Netflix which surprised me.
I visited the hotel with my husband for a one-night honeymoon stay. In terms of cleanliness and aesthetics, the hotel is beautiful, the room was tidy, and breakfast was varied and delicious. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the reception and customer service. We had requested a honeymoon room, but there were no decorations or special touches just a regular room and room amenities for one person while the booking was for two persons. The reception staff were very cold and distant, and we clearly felt a difference in how we were treated compared to other foreign guests, despite our long wait in line. We had also requested an early check-in, explaining that we were exhausted after a long journey, but we ended up waiting over 3 hours in the lobby with no consideration . In the room, we experienced a strange and disturbing noise coming from the devices. When I called the reception, they ignored me and even hung up on me twice once by a woman and once by a man. No one came to fix the issue; the noise eventually stopped on its own. Another disappointing aspect was the ban on the burkini in the swimming pool, which I found disrespectful as a Muslim woman. In summary: While Mövenpick Sousse is visually stunning, the treatment and customer service were extremely disappointing, especially given the price. I wouldn’t repeat the experience, and I don’t recommend it for anyone who values respectful and professional service.
