The extended family spent 13 days across 3 apartments at the Movenpick Bur Dubai. The apartment building is adjacent to the hotel building but not internally connected. There is a short 2 min walk between the 2, which sounds seamless but during the peak of summer with 80% humidity, can be challenging. The apartment complex houses various apartments and also has a swimming pool on the balcony alongside a well stocked gym. There are no other amenities in this complex and no real reception area. The hotel complex has a larger swimming pool, including kids area and a gym and exercise room. This is where the range of restaurants are positioned (Fountain, Chutney's, Somerset's, the Garden Lounge, Starbucks etc). The hotel complex has a fantastic reception area and a majestic looking staircase which leads into the 1st floor. We have come back after a 2 week stay with the absolute fondest memories of Movenpick Bur Dubai. We have been in Dubai previously and this experience further built on an already very warm appreciation for the place. Accommodation: the apartments were very well sized with plenty of space. The cleaners did a commendable job, towels were regularly changed and key items functioned well. Despite paying for the Burj Khalifa view, the views themselves were underwhelming due to the heat and pollution and given where it is positioned, the other views are not spectacular. Toiletries were adequately provided and shower caps, shaving kits etc were available on request, including very kindly an ice pack. Food: the breakfasts are fantastic - the vegetarian hot options are somewhat limited with rotations between dosa, idly and potato crockets but the breads/pastries/yoghurts/cereals are fantastic. Those that are vegan would find the choices quite limited but the chefs and hotel go to significant efforts to try to accommodate as best they can. We were half board and for dinners rotated between Fountain and Chutney's. Chutney's provides an authentic North Indian experience - which is absolutely splendid but not something you would want daily. Initially, they stuck to a set menu but we insisted that this was not feasible to have daily - they graciously became more flexible over time but the menu remains quite restricted with daily paneer and no diversification outside of a set style of paneer, tarka daal etc. Fountain did a very admirable job of being diversified and trying to make changes, including innovative salads, mains and fantastic dessert options. In total, between Fountain and Chutney's we were exceptionally well catered for. Somerset's has a limited vegetarian menu and also does not enable children so can be quite unwelcoming for young families that are vegetarian. Shuttle Service - during the summer, the Kite Beach service was unused. We regularly used the Dubai Mall offering, leaving at 10am or 1pm and returning at 1.20pm or 6pm respectively. This was a helpful service and regularly used. It is unfortunate that there was not further flexibility on timings or locations as other hotels provide. One would typically like to go to Dubai Mall later and return later to see the musical fountains. We later found out about a Dubai Festival City provided shuttle which was a great discovery as this is a fantastic visit, especially on Thurs-Sunday. Staff - the most humble, gracious and delightful group of people you will meet. To provide a few specifics: Yadav - he helped extensively in tracing a lost suitcase in a taxi and was on hand for 3 hours to help retrieve. Even outside of this, he was always willing to share his knowledge and guidance. Faraz - the most perfect waiter / manager at Fountain - always on hand with prompt and efficient service, personable and affectionate. Venkat - a very reliable and humble man - he transported us to and from Dubai Mall routinely and was also on hand to assist with our stay Nang - consistent service with a huge smile - very approachable and attentive, always ready to serve guests and customers as best she can Griffin - ran the breakfast service very diligently and efficiently - a great ambassador for the hotel and treats guests and staff alike with respect Alaa - very humble, attentive and further service with a smile - very responsive and approachable Marcel - the most pleasurable and affectionate individual - a passion for serving guests and always willing to help and provide a fantastic experience Deepesh & Rashmi - both very personable and friendly, serve Chutney's with great pride and very respectful Sulochna, Sweety, Devi - a trio of the friendliest faces to serve breakfast Nixson, Rehan and Javed - quieter than others but work with as much dedication and effort - always on hand and unrelenting effort. And lastly Ibrahim - a great leader, keen to ensure guest satisfaction is maximised and willing to make the appropriate changes to within reason accommodate requests and provide a memorable stay. Suggestions: 1. Much greater vegetarian diversification for menus at Chutneys (Dinner) and Fountain (Breakfast). North Indian can be so much more than just paneer and for longer stays, some variety would be beneficial. Similarly, hot vegetarian Indian breakfasts are plentiful and some variety should be introduced. 2. Greater shuttle bus variety and flexibility on timings, perhaps during peak seasons 3. Wider swimming pool opening hours - e.g. in the summer, little point having it open during the peak of the day and closing at 8pm. Better to close during the day but open until say 10pm when it would still be absolutely lovely to go for a swim under the night-sky. 4. Enhance swimming pool access times for apartment guests - this pool closes at 6pm which for summer is very restrictive. 5. A games room for adults (e.g. pool table / table tennis etc indoors would be a great addition) and the kids room could be better stocked with toys, interactive areas or some more entertainment. Overall a 10/10 stay at Movenpick Bur Dubai. We leave with lifelong memories as an extended family, which now includes all the staff. A well located hotel adjacent to many attractions (Zabeel, Garden Glow, Dolphinarium, Dubai Frame etc) and the American Hospital. Quite a distance from Dubai Marina, Jabal Ali etc so keep in mind. The hotel is very good.. Room was brilliant as well as clean. I had go for breakfast with my friend in movenpick hotel's restaurant.. The breakfast was so healthy and wonderful.service was good but i want to thank the lady who was given a very excellent services.. Thank you for your beautiful Service miss sulochana really appericate you...!!!!!

Sulochana was excellent with great customer service.- I needed items that I did not see and she suggested and pro.e with eve6I needed- She had a beautiful smile and was kind and patient . I would love e.for her to always help me during 8stay here. I am so happy I ha e chosen this hotel.

The breakfast service at Mövenpick Hotel and Apartments was fantastic! Sullochana and Mohhamad were excellent! The food was great and my omelet came out fast and was cooked to perfection. If I am in Dubai again, I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Beautiful roof top pool with great views of the city. Daughter has a milk allergy so breakfast was a little difficult but after speaking to the right people the chefs could not do enough and prepared special pancakes and looked after her at dinner. The restaurant in the garden did the most amazing steak was a bit of a wait to get seated but the food was amazing and worth the wait. Would visit again without a doubt. Alternative milks out at breakfast time. Lots of fresh fruits too. Great location.
