First trip to Bangkok with wife and two young kids. The hotel sukhumvit met expectations, it was grand, clean and enough room for the 4 of us. Great roof top bar, pool, garden for relaxing and if u wanted to work out there is a small but pricatrical gym. Shower and water pressure was great. Room A/C was a life saver to keep the family cool in the hot and humid weather. Best thing about the hotel was the staffs, who were very friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. The buffet breakfast menu is changed daily and offer planty of choices and its very tasty too. Location wise, we found it to be quite central for our needs. Some of the con's: The mini fridge bar is barly working or able to bring the temperature colder then the room temperature itself even after it was serviced. On arrival we found out that there was a bond deposit of $3000 thai baht was a requirement which was a surprise as I didn't recall any advance information when the payment was made for the stay online. Luckily for us I had enough $ exchanged just incase. I didnt see any toilet or change room on roof top bar/ pool ara which was inconvenience as it would mean often you are having to run back to ur rooms. Overall tho we all enjoyed our stayed and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place to unwind.
I have had & am still having a wonderful caring stay here at Movenpick. The breakfast buffet is international cuisine that is so delicious. Everyday I can eat from many different country foods. Amazing quality food in the resturant. Chef Ramesh made me a fantastic Indian platter. WOW! The Hotel is clean & beautiful, the staff are friendly & kind. I am walking distance from the centre & all my needs are met here. Highly recommend 👌
Still staying at the hotel and writing a review - as fully paid for the hotel stay. Stuck and can’t move out. 1. Lady at the reception (not taking the name on purpose) - totally unfriendly. Asked for our passports at check in as if it as hers and we had to return it. 2. Came into the room and the 1st sight-stained sheets. 3. Asked the cleaner lady to clean and she keeps talking with the vaccum cleaner on and had to ask her to shut it down rather than her saying ‘what, what’ 4. Came to the reception to ask for a better room. Was asked to wait at the lounge and then gets forgotten that I was asked to wait and new customers are being addressed to. Very unprofessional. Was shot down for a change in room or an upgrade having offered that I will pay. Bad bad service. 5. Asked the reception for advice where the nearest currently exchange was told ‘300 meters far’. Which direction?-was given the same answer 6. Asked the valet (a guy with suit standing outside) to help with a cab as was with our baby and was offered no help and came across very rude. The bell boys Man and Boy are excellent with a wonderful smile and my son is eager to see them at entrance every time. However in general very bad experience with people
Very good hotel. Excellent breakfast and restaraunt. Pool bar service was a bit ordinary. Beds were super comfy and the shower after a bit of practise was quite good. We had a really good Indian meal off the set menu. The service by Chrispy was exceptional. The shuttle top Station 21 was appreciated as it was a bit far for my wife to walk. The doormen were a great asset to this hotel and were smiling at all times. In short would we recommend this hotel. Most definately. Will we stay here again yes.
Every hotel has its pro’s and con’s. But for me the most important is the hospitality, service and vibe of the staff. Fara, Am and Bee were very friendly, kind and helped me with everything. Great location. Good breakfast all for a fairly price.
