We were very disappointed with our experience at this hotel, which unfortunately does not meet the standards of a true 5-star property. After inspecting several rooms, we decided to cancel our stay. All the rooms we saw were noticeably damp and humid, suggesting a significant issue with the air conditioning or ventilation system. The staff, however, were extremely kind, polite, and genuinely tried to help us. It was clear that they wanted to make things right, but this situation is completely beyond their control. We hope that hotel management takes this feedback seriously, investigates the underlying climate issues, and makes the necessary improvements. The staff deserve better conditions to work in, and guests deserve the comfort expected from a 5-star hotel.
The staffs are very nice and great location with free shuttle tuk tuk every 30min. But the breakfast coffee machines has many many cockroaches ( find the video on Google Map review), soundproof was very bad, I got 2529, must avoid this room. Club lounge staff are helpful to change the room for me but there is another room facing the main road.
The hotel has a reasonable location. It's a bit far down the soi, but there's a free tuk-tuk every half hour from the hotel to Terminal 21 Mall. From there, you can take the BTS or the MRT. And because it's so far down the soi, there's little noise pollution from Sukhumvit Road. The rooms are nice and spacious enough. There's some entertainment on the rooftop, including a bar, pool, and game room. You also have a nice view. The gym has a reasonable number of machines. Personally, the breakfast selection was disappointing. For a 5-star hotel, it could have been a bit more extensive compared to other sister hotels I've stayed at, such as Pullman, Sofitel, Swissotel and Grand Mercure. Unfortunately, I also had some issues at breakfast. The staff cleared my table too quickly, even though there was still food on my plate and a drink in my glass. As a solo traveler, you often have to leave food and drinks on the table before other guests take the table. Otherwise, you'll lose your table every time you want to get new food and/or drinks. Because this had already happened twice, I reported it to the restaurant manager, and she was helpful. I received compensation and a promise that it wouldn't happen again. But unfortunately, it did happen the next day. So I reported it again, and then I spoke with another manager or assistant manager. She also apologized, made a promise and gave a compensation. They do take complaints seriously, but it still needs to be properly implemented. Three times out of five shouldn't be acceptable, especially not when someone has already reported it. In the executive lounge, things went perfectly, both for breakfast and the evening cocktail. Despite this experience, I've booked a second stay, and I hope it's even better than this one.
Once again I had a very pleasant stay at the Moevenpick Hotel in Bangkok. The hotel has a great location and offers nice amenities such as the pool, however the staff there is really outstanding. As a returning customer it‘s always nice to be greeted by such friendly people who remember you and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I want to highlight Mr. Chang and Mr. Alan who always assist me with a big smile, nice chats and always offer to take care of any reservations I want to make or simply ask me about my day. If ever an issue arises, I know I can count on them! I look forward to seeing them again and wish all the best. Kind regards, Tanya
3 night stay with wife and two kids. Seamless check in where we were offered an extra bed for a charge. Once we checked out room, realised an extra bed in room was needed. When I asked for the extra bed the hotel waived the charge without being asked to waive it. Excellent service. Room was clean. Had breakfast and dinner at hotel. Both very nice with wide range of options available. Rooftop bar was nice. However one night it had been raining and there was no dry seats left. But of prep before rain started could have prevented them all being wet for when it stopped. Easy fix. Only short 5 min walk to sky train to get you around the city. Nice safe surrounding area. Even late at night with kids
