Absolutely outstanding five-star hotel! Luxurious rooms, exceptional service, delicious food, and world-class facilities. Every detail was perfect. Highly recommended!
We have stayed at multiple Mövenpick properties, and unfortunately this was the weakest one by a clear margin. The hotel feels 30 years past due for a renovation. While the outdoor areas are lovely and staff generally show good hospitality, the interiors are dated and tired. On arrival, the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The toilet had visible urine stains around the base and exterior. Cleaning should include the surrounding area, not just the bowl and rim. I requested several room items multiple times, starting two months before arrival and again at check in. Despite repeated follow ups, they were not in place until at least 24 hours after we arrived. Basic requests should not require this level of persistence. The gym was particularly disappointing. We did not expect anything impressive, as the hotel does not promote its fitness facilities, but the equipment is extremely old, closer to something from the 1980s than a modern hotel gym. Breakfast in the main restaurant was underwhelming, though we found it noticeably better in the executive lounge, which we had access to with our room category. There are positives here: the location is good, the outdoor facilities are attractive, and staff are generally polite. However, for the Mövenpick brand, this property falls short. Unless a renovation is planned, expectations should be kept low.
My stay has been amazing. Thank you Chang for your hard work and accommodations. It didn't go unnoticed. The staff was also outstanding. If I return to Bangkok, I would desire to stay here again.
Our stay was amazing. We had a group of 15 and all of the staff was courteous and helpful. Chang, specifically made sure that we felt welcomed, we had guidance inside and outside the hotel, and he was more than accommodating when we needed additional assistance.
My family and I stayed at this hotel from 23–30 December. There were several things which made our stay pleasant like the chocolate hour, the nice and helpful porters, and the tuk tuk service. However, my experience here was made unpleasant by an incident which happened. On the third night of my stay (25 Dec), my iPhone fast charging cable went missing from my room. It was placed by my bedside next to my Apple Watch charger, which remained there untouched. I reported the loss immediately to the duty manager. Subsequently, the case was handled by three different duty managers, with investigations citing possible misplacement, housekeeping & laundry checks, but no clear outcome was ever provided. Despite daily follow-ups, I was only advised to make a police report on the night (when I called to seek resolution) before my morning checkout. At the same time, I was also reminded of fine print stating the hotel is not liable for loss of valuables and was asked to provide photographic proof that both chargers were originally by my bedside—which I find unreasonable for routine personal items. Due to the delay, I could not file a police report in time. However, the hotel did provide a slow charging cable as a temporary solution after I requested for it. This review is shared so future guests can be aware: be extra extra careful and vigilant with small valuables, as responsibility may not be assumed and resolution may be limited or none at all.
