Amazing help from Chang at the concierge! The service was great and the hotel is very clean. We wanted help booking our travel and we were taken care of
Boy and Man were very helpful during our stay at the Mövenpick. They made sure we had quality experiences and always made sure we were transported around Bangkok safely. The complimentary tuk tuk was great, my husband and I loved the rides to the mall, there we were easily able to take the sky train and get around the city. There was a cool chocolate hour in the restaurant. The neighborhood was also very clean and the people were friendly, there wasn’t too much noise and it wasn’t too busy, it was just enough city and just enough quiet. We look forward to our next visit and staying at the Moevenpick.
I had high expectations for this hotel but unfortunately they were not met. We were located in building 3 which is a short walk outside however on entering the foyer there is an overwhelming stench of sewage until you enter the lifts. The room was large and spacious and quiet. We were right near the lifts and never heard anyone outside. Servicing was ok until the last night when we didn't recieve any towels and it too 2 calls and a visit to reception to get them sent up. Chocolate buffet was a nice touch. Pool area is good however only drinks by the pool, we had to go eat in the bar area. Only a few loungers had pads on them which made the other beds rather uncomfortable. Also as booked through a travel agent my status was not recognised nor did I earn status points. I was advised I had to book direct on the app to get this. Having travelled extensively for work this is the only program I have ever had this happen. Having been a member for a number of years I find this disappointing. Will make me assess changing programs.
Chang is the best concierge. Helped us with all our bags and the cabs. Lovely stay in the hotel! The pillows and the beds are very comfortable, the toilets are clean and the staff is very considerate. 10/10 definitely would stay here again when I come back!
Smell of smoke in a non-smoking room, poor sound insulation, worn-out furniture, smaller than advertised, no king-size bed as booked. Bathroom poorly equipped, no movable soap, only one bath mat. Elevator made strange noises and felt unsafe. In my opinion, this Mövenpick does not deserve four stars. I won’t book it again.
