Mövenpick Petra

We enjoyed a wonderful time here with our family. The food is one of the best I have ever tried. The restaurant was one of the most beautiful places in all Jordan. We are were served by Mary Ann a great server and host. A great experience here in Petra Jordan.

Dinner Al-Iwan was fantastic. Mary Ann was amazing and very attentive. I don’t normally have seafood away from the ocean, but barbecue shrimp and lobster main was fresh and delicious. Potato and leak soup was very flavoursome. Wine was acceptable.

The hotel is located next to the entrance to Petra. We got two rooms which are connected, and the rooms were spacious. Our rooms faced the main road, and it’s pretty quiet, only with occasional sound of cars or dogs. The beds were comfortable. The air-conditioning in one of our rooms was not working. There’s weight scale and safe in the room. There’s a chocolate hour from 4-5pm, but it’s a slight disappointment – it’s a small chocolate fountain operated by a staff with choice of dips. We stayed on Christmas eve and Christmas day there, and the dessert corner in the dinner buffet on Christmas eve were the highlight, with plenty of choice, all made in Christmas theme, and its excellent value.

Mary Ann is the best person in Al iwan restaurant with her manager Ziad M. Food is gourmet and of course the famous ice cream Nice restaurant to have a special dinner with good local or imported wine Warm environment and the stuff very friendly

I highly recommend both the Mövenpick Petra Hotel for a luxurious stay and Al Iwan Restaurant for a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re visiting Petra or just looking for a special getaway, this place is a true gem.The attention to detail in both the hotel and restaurant is remarkable, and the service from Mary Ann was impeccable. Every staff member was attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure that all my needs were met. I’ll definitely be returning!
