This hotel was the perfect stay for us for our 3 nights in Petra. The room was very clean, the staff (without exception) were incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was really good (particularly the rooftop restaurant). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to others visiting Petra.
The location was perfect, adjacent to the entry to Petra. But that’s where the positives start and end. My wife had her rings stolen from the room while we were there and the lack of support, communication (post our stay) and service was stunning. We finally received an email acknowledging the issue 2 months later but the inference was that my wife lied about what happened. As a gold Accor member I am appalled at what has transpired and I doubt that I will stay at any Accor property going forward. Disappointed to say the least.
Our three-night stay at Movenpick Petra from June 1-4, 2025 (room 425) was truly exceptional. At reception, Belal greeted us with genuine warmth and handled our check-in with professionalism. As Accor Platinum members, we were thrilled with his clear explanation of our benefits and detailed overview of the hotel’s three restaurants and swimming pool, ensuring we had everything we needed to know. He patiently answered all our questions and offered helpful tips, setting a fantastic first impression of the hotel. Ghanem, also at reception, was equally attentive, providing valuable insights that enhanced our experience. The hotel upgraded us to a beautiful, spacious room that was simply perfect. The hotel's location, just a minute’s walk from the Petra Visitor Center, made exploring effortless.....no need for round-trip taxis.........just walk back to the hotel and relax. The breakfast was delicious, featuring an extensive selection of juices, coffees/teas, nuts, breads, cakes, eggs, fruits, salads, and numerous warm dishes to suit every taste. We also loved the chocolate hour from 4-5 PM, where we enjoyed kiwi and strawberry dipped in chocolate.......a delightful treat. Throughout our stay, we felt incredibly safe at the hotel, and Jordan itself proved to be a secure and welcoming destination. Movenpick Petra is, without a doubt, our favorite Accor hotel. The combination of exceptional service, prime location, and memorable amenities made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to be back with some friends.
The quality of food & service was extraordinary, rooms very clean! Fouad is excellent customer service I highly recommend this hotel . Maryann was in the restaurant also- such a great team. Somebody knows what they are doing here!! Our group was 40 people and everybody loved it
