The best hotel ever. Great and helpfull personal. Very clean and nice hotel with big family room and close to resturants and Berlin shopping center. They have the best breakfast we have had in hotel and make omlett the way you want. They have tourist information in the hotel and sell tickets for hop on hopp off busses. Garage is just close to the hotel which was very convinent. We just parked the car and walked through the city. Recommended highly.

This would have been a good hotel but we had a issue with a mechanical noise at night in our room (yes we did make sure we shut off the AC properly and it was there whether the window was open or not). Sounded like were either beside a major AC unit or water heater for the hotel as there was a low but audible 36dB hum and dropping noise. Luckily my son had spare ear plugs as wouldn't have slept without. Staff pleasant but not helpful. Raised this after first night. Said they'd get a technician to check but we got no feedback. No one ever asked us how our stay was. Room quite good although bathroom felt a little dated. Not much info in room and whilst they do have a qr code app not much good if the qr code doesn't work. Reasonable buffet. May just have been our room (436)

The rooms are enormous with very high ceilings! Hotel itself is huge in scale & has the advantage of being 250m from S Bahn Anhalter Bahnhof Station! The staff at reception are indifferent- not by any stretch welcoming but the breakfasts and rooms make up for that! Very central to wherever you want to be in Berlin as the UBahn & S Bahn can take you anywhere you want with ease.

On the outside, this hotel might look great, but when you look too closely, you'll be dissappinted. The check-in (and out) took a little longer than expected. I wasn't informed about all the services nor facilities such as the gym, etc, which I discovered on my own. It is quite a large hotel with hundreds of rooms. The room was pleasant, and thankfully, it had operable windows, mine overlooked the street. The room was a little dated but in good condition. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were dreadful. For a double bed, there was only 1 real pillow and a sack that I had to use to have my head at the right height to sleep. The sack needs to be tosses out, and new standard pillows purchased. The linen was lovely, as was the duvet. The bar fridge I don't think was on, or if it was, it didn't keep anything cool. The air-conditioning was pretty non-existent. I tried to set it at a lower cooler temperature, but the thermometer seemed to say it was 18° when it was far from that. It was more like 22-24°. One night, I opened my windows, as it was cooler outside than inside my room. I complained about this after 2 night, and I was told that they could provide me with a fan or move me to another room, but the move may not result in any improvement, as the air-conditioning for the hotel is poor. This shocked me and was very disappointing. I would not stay at this hotel in the warmer months, as it would be unbearable. The bathroom was spacious and clean, albeit a little dated. The water pressure was great, and there was plenty of light and mirrors a plenty. The hotel needs to upgrade its air-conditioning systems and replace all the carpets in the rooms, and repaint the rooms to match the hallways.

We had a great experience at Mövenpick. The location is very central, easy access to public transport and the historic building is well maintained and renovated. The room was very cozy and Mr. Brandes from reception was very attentive and helped us to make our stay very convenient. We strongly recommend to eat in the restaurant- the food was well very delicious, cooked and presented perfectly. The team was well and professionally trained and provided an excellent service experience to us.
