Colour-shifting landforms, giant sandstone mountains, towering plateaus, steep canyons, mushroom rocks and perpetually moving sand dunes are just some of the elements of Wadi Rum's splendour. A desert with incredibly beautiful sandstone formations, made famous from movies such as “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Indiana Jones”. A visit to Wadi Rum when on holiday in Aqaba is a “must”, and spending the night in one of the camps there is definitely an unforgettable experience. All hiking tours must be arranged through Wadi Rum Visitor's Centre and an official Bedouin guide who will either accompany you or help you organise your hike.
