The Movenpick is a small boutique hotel in the center of Den Haag, a kind of little gem hidden in a quiet street just a few steps from the famous Noordeinde Palace. The exterior of the building can mislead as the true beauty of the hotel is inside, once you get through its doors. Decorators made an excellent job. Rooms are bright and spacious, with modern and high quality furniture. The bathroom is superb too. Only CON was the baby coat, which did not have a mattress at all (therefore our little boy slept in the bed with us) Alba at the reception was great. Buses n. 22,24,28 bring you from the Central Station to (more or less) the hotel and vice versa. Please bear also in mind that this is a cashless hotel.
Booked at four night stay at Mövenpick Hotel The Hague in late March 2023. I was able to arrange an early check-in. My check-in/out experience was smooth. The interior design is fresh and contemporary. My room was decent but had minor cleanliness issues. Decent breakfast and good in-room dining service. I really liked the SuitePad guest portal. It provided handy information about the hotel and Den Haag. It was easy to place an in-room dining order using the SuitePad. Overall, good stay at this hotel.
Our executive king size room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was huge, with super soft pillows and the mattress had adjustable firmness - so a great night’s sleep! Dual aspect windows meant it was lovely and light during the day, but we would prefer better room lighting after dark. Gorgeous large and very clean bathroom. All amenities as we expected - we liked having both a coffee machine and a separate kettle for tea. A few more electric sockets would have made life easier, and we needed our charger/adapters as there were no USB sockets, although the Wi-Fi was very good. Breakfast was an extra for us, but excellent on the morning we had it. We enjoyed walking to nearby bars/restaurants in the Noordeinde (La Liguria very good) and it was an easy walk for trams to Scheveningen/other parts of den Haag. All in all, this friendly boutique hotel was an excellent choice for our three night mini break.
We had four nights at this excellent hotel last week. We were made to feel very welcome straightaway. We had upgraded our room and it was beautiful - very clean, spacious with a particularly nice bath/shower room. Breakfast was included in the price we paid and we enjoyed the range of food. I didn't realize until our last morning that I could order an omelette, or other cooked items. I won't make that mistake again!! All the staff we spoke to were so nice, helpful and efficient. All in all, a delightful short break at a wonderful hotel. Oh, and I very much enjoyed the Chocolate Hour......
We arrived at 11am and were offered both our rooms - what a pleasure. From the outside the building is unassuming but the inside is pure class - great layout and flow to the reception area. Wonderfull room sizes with stunning bathrooms Location is perfect, 5 min walk from tram/metro and in the heart of main shopping district. Will definitely visit again
