Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent - calm yet close to great shops and restaurants - and the corner suite with a balcony offered great views. The restaurant was a highlight, serving amazing food. Special mentions go to the carpaccio and the crème brûlée. Overall, we had a great stay with a lovely dinner. Breakfast wasn’t exceptional but was still decent—nothing to complain about. That is, until check-out. I booked the junior suite using suite night upgrades (SNU), a perk for Accor Platinum/Diamond members. Upon check-in, I confirmed with the staff that the SNU was properly applied. Though they seemed a bit unsure, they assured me everything was in order. At check-out, I reviewed my folio and noticed I was charged the full price for the room, with no credit for the SNU. Luckily, I was still at the hotel, so I approached the front desk to have this corrected. The (presumably) Front Office Manager dismissed my concern, claiming I needed to resolve it directly with Accor and that nothing could be done on their end. I explained how SNUs work, and he said he would "reimburse" the SNU but refused to adjust the full room charge. This response felt unacceptable. After some back-and-forth, he went to consult with someone in the back office. Since I had a train to catch and the process was taking too long, I called the Accor Platinum line, which graciously resolved the issue. In summary, the hotel and restaurant are excellent, but I strongly recommend the General Manager provides refresher training for the team on how suite night upgrades work. This would prevent unnecessary stress for guests. Additionally, if the front desk is unclear about a situation, they should take a moment to clarify with colleagues instead of offering improvised answers that can come across as dismissive.
The staff here were amazing! We were treated so very well by Ayman and the rest of the crew! The breakfast was lovely. Make sure to bring your own 110 adapters and ask how to regulate the showers and HVAC if you’re not from here. We needed to ask for washcloths and other basics.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Movenpick. The hotel is situated on a beautiful and peaceful tree lined street. Our room was very spacious and furnished with modern designer items. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered a wide range of options. We also dined in the restaurant on three occasions and ate extremely well. I hope to stay there again.
Great location close to museums and the center of town, and even a small parking lot. Extremely helpful front desk/concierge staff, with advice on things to see and restaurants. We had a junior suite room with a very comfortable bed and an adjoining sofa and desk area. We were on the fourth floor, so the room had a balcony and windows that opened. Outstanding blackout curtains. Room was very quiet even thought it faced the street. Good but not great buffet breakfast. Very good dinner. A "chocolate hour" in the lobby from 4-5 pm.
Very helpful and kind staff. A great balcony room on the fourth floor with a lovely view of the city. Bright and airy rooms with large walk-in shower room. Excellent location with access to the heart of the city in minutes. Breakfast is the standard buffet offer. Happy to recommend this hard-working hotel!
