Stayed at the Movenpick Melbourne in early July. Easy check in and very friendly staff. Spacious room, lots of amenities, super comfy bed. Perfect location to explore Melbourne with southern cross station and a tram stop right outside. Chocolate Hour provided some sweet treats for an afternoon pick-me-up. Would stay again!

We arrived after midnight at the Movbenpick following a late arrival into Melbourne airport from a trip overseas. We were welcomed warmly by James at the front desk who was bright and cheerful and made us feel very welcome despite the very early hours of the morning. Thank you James Our room on the sixth floor was very comfortable for the night we were staying in Melbourne and so convenient being just over the road from Spencer Street station where the Skybus terminal is from the airport. Breakfast in the morning was just right for our first day back in Australia and we appreciated the warmth of the reception and choice of items from the buffet that was nicely prepared and presented. We were able to leave our bags at reception on check out with no problem at all as we had some friends to visit whilst in Melbourne. Pete at reception was so helpful and like James most accommodating. We enjoyed the ambiance of the Movenpick and will certainly look to staying here again on our next visit to Melbourne.

This is in such a great location. Train station just across the road, city on your doorstep. Staff pleasant and check in and out was seamless. Room well set out and clean. Housekeeping didn’t come till mid afternoon and a few things were missed. Restaurant had lovely presented food with beautiful flavours but incredibly slow and overpriced. I was the fourth person to arrive to dine and wait was over half an hour. The wok fried vegetables as a side were just leafy greens. Don’t bother ordering those. Pork belly was beautiful. May stay again

Here for work attending a conference. I’m an Accor platinum member. When checking in, the reception staff were cold and unfriendly; it seemed like they were having a bad day and didn’t want to be there. Overall, the room was modern and clean, with a good bed and shower. The hotel has only six floors and faces a main road, busy street, and side lanes. Yes, it’s central, but it is not soundproof. You can hear everything outside from the windows in the room. On the side street, you can hear all the trucks reversing and beeping, and the rubbish truck comes twice a week at 4 a.m. and then at 5 a.m. The doors of the rooms are very close together, and it only takes one person to slam a door. It can be really frustrating late at night and early in the morning. I have to say it was one of the worst nights of sleep I have had at a hotel. The breakfast staff are very nice. The breakfast area is tight, and I had to ask people to move to get in and out of the table. Overall, breakfast was average but well presented. The trams in Melbourne city are free, so it’s not really worth staying here considering the noise factor inside and outside of the hotel.

Fantastic stay, great location and close to the trams. The rooms were modern and had all the PowerPoints where they should be and IUSB ports around the room also. Just walk across the road to catch the skybus to the airport for $24 (or $40 return, when a taxi/uber is about $70 o/w). The coffee is great as well and they have a great restaurant as well!
