Mövenpick Lausanne

Movenpick Lausanne has a great location on Lake Geneva in the bustling waterfront district of Ouchy. It is near the marina, a Metro line, quaint shops and good restaurants. Accommodations are appropriate for a four-star hotel: restaurant, bar, gym, free WiFi and other services. Restaurant and bar staff can be slow and inattentive. Our room was quite warm during a hot spell in Lausanne making it a bit uncomfortable. Despite some shortcomings, Movenpick Lausanne is a good value with an excellent location.

I asked them to do the room yesterday from 6 am till 4 pm it was not done. And same today I asked the make the room from 10am morning and it was not done before I ask them at the reception. On the other hand the climatisation is terrible: not effective at all and the weather is still not hot. I won’t recommend this hotel to any one in general and especially at summer time: I am sure you will not be able to sleep at all. I had friends who attended IMD and was told that Movenpick was not recommended and now I understand why.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Close to the Ouchy metro station and ferry. Great views over Lac Leman. Good service, nice rooms. Convenient for bars, restaurants and has a Migros supermarket next door Really nothing to complain about.

Well, it's been a very long time that I had not visited a Swiss hotel and I must say the Movenpick Lausanne was a very welcome location, with very pleasing staff and an overall lovely stay. I was in room 570 for 2 nights, overlooking the back of the hotel (which is more quiet particularly during the European Football Cup!). Rooms are pleasant with all amenities and sustainably furnished. Only drawback is that the chair is much too low (and not adjustable) to use the desk to work at (I measure 1m80) Thank you !

Thank you Benji for your warm welcome on my arrival and for helping me sort my room service order! The food was delicious and brought to my room by yet another friendly member of staff. The room was comfortable with everything I needed. Good location.
