Clere and Rachelle from the bar are the most amazing and hospitable person I’ve met in a long time. Having this kind of service is the reason you pay a little more to be in an amazing hotel like the Mövenpick

The whole team was great. Specifically Teysi (intern) and Lester. They talked to us, were very friendly and provided best experience.

Resort is definitely not 5 star given the size of rooms. Bathroom is also small and very oddly planned. Rooms have internet TV which is not easy to operate. Room key cards kept losing their function having to repeatedly go down to reception to get them reactivated.. Only bright spot was having to go down to reception repeatedly to get them re-charged. There is not much in a way of decent dining options around the hotel. Hotel restaurants are overpriced for the food they offer. Overall disappointing experience compared to other major hotel chains like Hyatt, Shangrilla etc. I would give this hotel a good 3 or weak 4 star status. Only bright spot is that girls at the reception are very helpful, polite and welcoming. Night staff ( BG) who checked us out and created unnecessary scene over non- issue needs further training. Thankfully hotel manager admitted to their mistake and apologized later. Ignoring this isolated incidence reception staff deserves all the praise. Personally I would stay in the Cebu city next time. Traveling time from Mactan to Cebu can be 45 minutes due to traffic. There are not in way of shopping/ malls/ good non resort dining options in Mactan. Unless one wants to be simply by the beach then stay in Mactan but I would recommend Shangrila!

This hotel is not what you see in the photos. The location is totally random, built up, busy and there is nothing to do nearby. The buildings are very dated. The lobby and beach bar are nice but there was zero atmosphere. Staff were fantastic and breakfast was good. Generally, we feel this hotel was way overpriced for what you get. We would not return.
