                           An Entirely New Experience in the Same Address

Some places earn their reputation over decades. Mövenpick Aqaba is one of them. Sitting at the edge of the Red Sea since 1999 a stone's throw from the luminous turquoise waters and the warm sands of Jordan.  The resort has been the backdrop to countless memories: honeymoons, family celebrations, business retreats and quiet escapes.

The renovation programme did not set out to change what made Mövenpick Aqaba special. It set out to honour it  removing what time had weathered, elevating every surface and space, and breathing fresh life into a property that has always known how to make guests feel genuinely at home.

Original pieces of hand-carved furniture carefully retained and lovingly restored to their former glory  stand alongside new bespoke elements. It is a dialogue between past and present that gives the resort a depth and warmth no new-build can replicate.

   Where Sea, Sand and Story Meet

The creative direction for the renovation was inspired by the extraordinary natural landscape that surrounds the resort. The vivid blues and turquoises of the Red Sea visible from many of the rooms  guided the primary colour palette, imbuing every space with a sense of calm and openness that mirrors the water itself.

Complementing the sea tones are the warm, desert-inspired shades of beige and off-white  drawn directly from the sweeping dunes of Wadi Rum. Together, these colours create an interior palette that is both grounding and transportive: you are undeniably in Jordan.

Layered over these natural foundations are the rich geometric patterns and vibrant textile traditions of Jordanian craft  woven into cushion fabrics, area rugs and decorative accents that bring cultural warmth to every room.
