Our stay at Mövenpick Egerkingen was a disaster, especially during breakfast. Guests were segregated into groups and served drastically different breakfast qualities in adjacent halls. While one group enjoyed a rich and fresh spread, our group was given stale, limited, and unhygienic options, including dirty glasses, smudged tableware, and unclean tablecloths. Worse, we had to set our own tables and fetch napkins. Adding to the humiliation, a staff member blocked access between the areas, enforcing this segregation and making guests feel like second-class citizens. When we raised concerns, staff dismissed us with a smile, offering no explanation or solution. This discriminatory and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable for Mövenpick. Travelers, especially from Turkey, should avoid this hotel. Think twice before booking—you might be classified as “B-class” instead of receiving the premium experience promised. Mövenpick Egerkingen has failed on all fronts. .
Review: Where do I start? This hotel truly redefines the concept of “getting away” — mostly because it’s miles away from the city center. • The Rooms: If you enjoy sleeping in a shoebox, you’ll love the tiny beds they offer. Perfect for anyone who doesn’t mind waking up with back pain. • Breakfast: An absolute culinary masterpiece — if stale croissants two days in a row are your idea of fine dining. Bon appétit! • The Staff: Ah, the staff! Their charm is only surpassed by their rudeness. Want some bread from the lobby? Too bad! Apparently, bread has a VIP section you’re not allowed into. Overall, a fantastic place if you want to pay for the privilege of regretting every second of your stay. Save your money, and more importantly, your sanity.
Mr Bilel in the hotel buffet breakfast restaurant was very helpful and accomodative to ensure my family breakfast requirement is fulfilled.. i highly recommend him for being do accomodative. Although restaurant is only open from 7am he allowed me in by 6.45 am. i stayed in 21 & 22 Sept , room 522
We stayed one night in this hotel. It's good value for money. The service at the front desk was great and welcoming. The breakfast was good too - there are a lot of options (fruits, cold cuts, bacon & eggs etc). What I think could be improved: Ventilation in the rooms. The rooms are quite dated. I don't have any allergies but after sleeping in the hotel, I felt like my nose was blocked of the dust. I am not sure if this is because of the carpeted floors or ventilation. Also the pillows were not comfortable. The parking in this hotel was not free. As the hotel is not situated downtown, we were assuming it's free but it is not (our mistake). I could not find this information from their website so maybe it's worth adding this information so that the guest know about this. Finally, even if the breakfast was good, I sometimes found there were too much things - huge pot filled with sausages, scrambled eggs etc. And this was just before the breakfast time was about to end. To reduce the wastage and be more ecological, they could put less (in terms of quantity) food and fill in the pots / trays when needed. But all in all, we had a pleasant stay in this hotel.
Stayed 2 nights Movenpick Egerkingen with a group of tourist. Nice spacious airy rooms. Everything working order. Shower a little weak but maybe because my room is on the fifth floor. The receptionist Check in was fast and efficient. Did not get her name but was a Turkish lady who’s been with the hotel for 3-4years. Very polite kind and helpful. Another staff worth mentioning is Julia, she’s was very efficient, smiley and willing to help. Breakfast was great and friendly staff who goes out of the way to please. During my stay, coincided with many bus loads of Indian tourist. Amidst all the chaos, the staff went above to serve us. Great job. Will live to stay again. Joseph
