Reichstag

The Reichstag is the seat of the German Bundestag or federal government and with its impressive glass dome, is one of the biggest crowd-pullers in Berlin. Its colourful past reflects the turbulence of German history since the 19th century. The building was restored in the 1990s after German reunification.

Martin-Gropius-Bau

The Martin-Gropius building is the most important exhibition hall in Berlin. The imposing museum was built with the plans of Martin Gropius and Heino Schmieden in 1881. It was originally conceived as a museum of crafts. Today, the exhibition programme features art, archaeology, photography and cultural history exhibitions, attracting more than 500,000 visitors each year.
