Unexpected escape, and relaxation. A vibe like no other. The food is exquisite and worth every calorie. It bears the Filipino touch but doesn’t look entirely foreign to those from abroad. I especially like the chocolate hour at 3pm. The members of the staff are always courteous… kudos and keep it up.
Been diligent in researching a good beach hotel to vacation in Asia and found this Hotel marketed as 5-star hotel and part of Accor’s lfine hotels. its on Boracay island and this hotel is on an exclusive part of the island called Station 0 (zero) where there are only 3 luxury hotels (Crimson and Shangri-la being the others). first off, this is more like a 4-star than a 5. Apparently this hotel was formerly Sol Marina Beach Club before Accor took over. i guess Accor decided it meets their standards (?) now the good; it is actually great to share the same beach with the 5-star hotels; private, clean and truly relaxing atmosphere. the service is top-notch; all services ! The let down: i hv an Accor acct and have yet to build it. i understand that if not booked directly with the hotel, it does not count for rwds pts. but everything else i spend in the hotel should be. nope! according to the waiters, the cashiers insisted i can’t get any pts on any of my spendings. i brought this up to the Accor rep at the front lobby and confirmed that i shld have, but he wants the names of those who said no and the credit cards i used. like pulling teeth! and hair! not worth my time. know who’s worth it though? other loyalty progs.
went here to see the facilities. walked-in and availed the day pass. the staff at the beach bar area are very friendly and were assisting me throughout my time. I forgot to get his name but he was so approachable. drinks were okay and I just had the best Banh Mi in the island.
I had an amazing experience at the Mövenpick Hotel in Boracay, especially at the spa. I treated myself to both a Swedish massage and a hilot massage (the traditional Filipino massage using banana leaves), and it was absolutely worth it. My masseuse, Anne, was outstanding. Her technique, pressure, and overall skill were incredible—one of the best massage experiences I’ve had. She was professional, attentive, and clearly very experienced. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. If you’re staying at Mövenpick, I highly recommend booking a massage and asking for Anne. It truly elevated my stay and made my Boracay trip even more special.
We are staying at this luxury hotel with a private beach, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The check-in process was smooth, and while the rooms were okay, they did have a strange drain smell that was a bit off-putting. The rooms could definitely use some TLC considering the price, but thankfully, the hotel’s amenities and staff more than made up for it. The huge pool and the private beach were absolute highlights of our stay — the beach especially was stunning and perfect for relaxing. We also loved the fantastic happy hour at Sol Marina, where the cocktails were a real treat. The breakfast buffet was ok but could be improved with more variety to truly match a 5-star resort. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone, including those in white polo shirts who seemed to be in training, worked incredibly hard and were always pleasant and welcoming. Special shout-outs to Mark Jessal, who was professional and great fun to chat with, and Lyle Rommel from Breeza, whose bright smile and fantastic service made our stay even more enjoyable. The entire Breeza team and Axcel from Sol Marina were also wonderful. Plus, the chef at the Japanese restaurant impressed us with fantastic dishes. In summary, while the rooms need some attention, the exceptional service, amazing beach, and great amenities made this stay very enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend this hotel for those looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch hospitality.
