After 35 months of construction work, the brand new dolphin lagoon opened its doors for visitors in summer 2011. The dolphin lagoon is an addition to the natural outdoor facility of the 40 year old dolphinarium.

Rock-Cut Cellars

Enjoy a tour through underground vaults with following beer tasting.

These underground vaults have been used since 1380 for the production and storage of beer.

With the guided "beer tour" the route is slightly different from other tours. The beer tour ends with a visit to the artisanal micro-brewery, called the "Hausbrauerei Altstadthof". Try out some typical regional red and blonde beers.

Former National Socialist Party Rally Grounds

In 1934, Hitler's architect Albert Speer had begun to design a master plan for the National Socialist Party Rally Grounds.

The Luitpold Arena, the Zeppelin Field, the March Field and the convention centre were all central party rally locations for the National Socialists. The construction plan of the grounds are explained in 23 different stations.

Neighbouring cities

Fürth, also called the shamrock city, will seduce you with many facets. You'll find over 2,000 monuments, green oases, idyllic old town alleys and more than 1,000 years of history in this Franconian town.

Erlangen is home to the Bergkirchweih and offers different highlights per season. Spring draws over one million visitors to the Bergkirchweih. In summer, relax in idyllic beer gardens. In autumn, visit various exhibitions and galleries. And in winter, the two Christmas markets attract many to take a leisurely stroll.

Toy museum

In middle of Nuremberg you can discover a world of historical toys from the antique to the present: four floors of wooden and metal toys, dolls, tinkering work of the postwar year or modern toys, in a wonderful old Renaissance building.

Railway Museum

The Royal Bavarian Railway Museum is the oldest museum of its kind in Germany and was opened in 1899. Today, it is the traffic museum Nuremberg together with the museum of the Deutsche Bahn AG as well as the museum for communication. About 40 historical rail-mounted vehicles are shown.
