  • Dark Mofo Festival. Returning from 11-22 June 2026, Hobart's midwinter festival Dark Mofo is a celebration of the dark through large-scale public art, food, music, fire, light, and noise, underpinned by the longest night of any Australian capital city.
  • Salamanca Place and the Salamanca Markets. Winter is the perfect time of year for a romantic stroll through Hobart's famous weekend market. 
  • Museum of Old and New Art (Mona).  A 'must visit' in Hobart at any time of year, Mona also offers three underground levels filled with a stunning array of art to explore on rainy days.
