Temple of Literature - Van Mieu

The Temple of Literature is a pleasant retreat from the streets of Hanoi. Built in 1070 under the Ly dynasty, this place used to be the first university of Vietnam (Imperial Academy) for brilliant students whose major focus on discussing literature and composing poetry. There are 82 stelas representing the record of personal information for doctors who gained outstanding academic achievements. President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum

Located in Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum is the final resting place of President Ho Chi Minh. The place was first constructed in September 1973 and still remains as a unique combination between the design of Lenin's Mausoleum in Moscow and the domestic architecture of Vietnam. This construction was dedicated to Ho Chi Minh since this was the place where Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam, read the Declaration of Independence in 1945. The whole construction consists of three main parts to visit. These are:

Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple
