Efficient Resource Management & Environmental Impact Reduction
Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre has implemented a comprehensive resource management strategy focusing on energy, water, and waste reduction.
Key initiatives include:
- Full conversion to energy-efficient LED lighting across public areas and guestrooms
- Optimized energy monitoring and consumption control systems
- Water-saving fixtures and regular monitoring to reduce water usage
- Elimination of single-use plastics, replaced with sustainable alternatives in guestrooms, F&B outlets, and back-of-house operations
- Annual participation in Earth Hour to raise awareness and reduce energy consumption
Sustainable Dining & Responsible Sourcing
Sustainability is deeply embedded in our culinary philosophy. The hotel prioritizes:
- Locally sourced ingredients to reduce carbon emissions and support local farmers and suppliers
- Seasonal menus designed to minimize food waste
- Waste separation and food waste reduction practices across all kitchens
This approach allows us to deliver authentic, high-quality dining experiences while contributing positively to the local economy and environment.
Green Team Culture & Community Engagement
Our Green Team, composed of passionate team members from different departments, plays a key role in driving sustainability initiatives
Key activities include:
- Regular staff training on sustainable practices
- Internal awareness campaigns on waste management and energy conservation
- Active participation in community and charitable programs, supporting social and environmental causes in Hanoi, such as the Blue Dragon Walk, Kilo of Kindness initiatives, Volunteering Day for tree planting at Ba Vi National Park including donation of fertilizers, and gifting used linens and other items to the Social Protection Center
By engaging both our employees and local community, sustainability becomes part of our daily culture rather than a standalone initiative.
“Achieving the Green Globe Certification 2026 is a meaningful milestone for Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre. It reflects our team’s dedication to responsible hospitality, where luxury and sustainability go hand in hand. We remain committed to continuously improving our practices and contributing positively to the environment and the local community,” said Thomas Evrard – General Manager.
