We stayed here as a family of 3 a couple of weeks ago. We arrived early, as flight was early and they let us in the room straight away. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was a little on the small side for the 3 of us, but so are most city centre hotels, it wasn’t a problem. The first night felt a little warm, spoke to reception the following morning and asked them to rectify and it was much cooler following this. The staff here are all absolutely lovely and as most places we came across in Vietnam, go out of their way to help you. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but wish we had done as the food looked amazing. we just didn’t have enough free nights there. Same for the pool area, due to a tight schedule and a visit to Ha Long Bay, we didn’t get enough down time to enjoy the pool. The chocolate hour is definitely worth a visit- we sat and had a drink in the bar and enjoyed the chocolate hour each night. It was lovely - Most people ( and it gets very busy) don’t seem to order a drink but that seems a little unfair so we had a drink each evening and it was a lovely way to spend an hour before going out for tea- although we were not hungry following this!! We only had the opportunity to stay for 3 nights but would definitely recommend this hotel and definitely stay again.
We found this a fantastic hotel. We had 3 bookings - 1 night, 2 nights and another 2 nights. It warrants the 5 star rating - very professional staff, great lobby, 3 restaurants, pool and lovely rooms. We had dinner at Macanese for my birthday and it was great, we did one chocolate hour which was delicious, we had a beer by the pool, we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was great. Special mention to Lan the doorman who was so friendly and kind, and organised our transfers to/from Ha Giang. There were accidents on the journeys (not our driver's fault) and Lan and the hotel couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy/compensated. Really appreciated this kindness. Highly recommended hotel for Hanoi.
I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel itself is in a great location and it is easy to walk to many tourist locations. The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms are furnished to a high standard. The staff are truly excellent and the service is first rate. They are always trying to help you and they go that extra step to make sure guests have a memorable stay. It is a smaller hotel but the facilities are good. My favorite hotel in Hanoi.
Beautiful hotel, we had a great sized room with a huge bath tub in the room which was lovely. They thought of the extra details like leaving bath salts for it too. Very modern looking. Spacious reception it feels like a hotel when you walk in as opposed to one other hotel we stayed at in hanoi which was more like a bnb. Lovely bar downstairs beautifully decorated and modern. Prices for drinks are higher than you would pay in vietnam but thats because its hotel prices obviously. Overall would definitely recommend
Ridiculous hotel as this seems to be the only hotel in Hanoi without a working heater. My room (1101) was supposedly an upgrade but the shower drain wasn’t cleaned properly, leading to a shower area filled with water. Called the front desk to get the housekeeping to clean the drainage and fix the thermostat since the room was super cold, but when I came back to inspect, found out they only cleaned the drain but couldn’t even clean the stray hairs left there (those stray hairs were not mine). Complained to the front desk again and the night shift lady sent a technician who could barely understand a speck of English and wore his dirty shoes to the shower! Spoke to the assistant manager and he came to rectify the situation by getting housekeeping to clean the shower area and bring heaters to the room. Oh, and the TV didn’t work properly either so two technicians had to come and replace the remote. Dinner at the restaurant downstairs on the ground floor could be improved as they served me tea in a teapot covered in dust. This hotel has to have the laziest and most apathetic housekeeping staff ever. I’ve stayed at three star hotels with better services and rooms than this! Such an insult to be paying this amount and getting sick from the cold, cold room. Giving two stars for the fact that the assistant manager at least tried to help, even though I asked whether all the rooms were like this, or could it just be my room? Are the rest of the guests reptiles who thrive in freezing conditions?
