I had a stopover in Kuala Lumpur with my family for a business meeting and the Mövenpick KLIA was the right decision for our plans. Unfortunately something went wrong regarding to the Airport transfer. However, this was dealt with professionally by the loyalty manager afterwards. This speaks for the high quality and management skills solving the incidents in the interests of the guest. My special thanks go to Mr. Shawne and thanks again for the birthday surprise and the effort during our stay in Mövenpick KLIA. Despite the transfer-incident, my expectations as a Diamond Customer of Accor were fully met. This once again shows the commitment to the well-being of the guest, which is very much appreciated. We had a good time in the hotel and were able to enjoy a really great dinner in the hotel restaurant, which we would definitely recommend. Thanks to Mr. Mckellen and his team for the excellent job. And last but not least, my special thanks to Ms. Linda, Assistant Cherish Manager, for the excellent pre-sale and support that I was able to take advantage of beforehand. She always tried to coordinate my stay with the team and I thank you very much for your attention. I will have a stopover in KL very soon and of course the Mövenpick KLIA will be my first choice. Well appointed room, both dinner and breakfast were good. Airport pick up and drop off disappointing. Bus arrived 40 minutes late. Went to book return journey in the morning and all airport shuttles fully booked from 6.30am to 2.30pm, cost an extra 129 Malay Ringits to get back to airport which should have been included. Happy with hotel but should be clearer you will be lucky to get a free airport shuttle
Beware this is a "islamic" hotel so no alcohol served. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Buffet diner but if you insist there is also a a la cart option. Very confusing road system to enter. A bit slow wifi. Various a bit clumsy things in the room. The AC cannot be lowered below 22.5 Deg C for some reason and the fan was very noisy. But close to the airport.
Stayed overnight to sleep. At 230 in morning the air-conditioning broke. A guy came to mend it and took 30 min. Then the air-conditioning was not cooling. The lights in bathroom were turning on and off automatically as if it was a haunted place. Was awake all night so wasted £56 for no reason! Complaints dept does not exist. No refund or apology from them. Avoid if u can.
"5-star" hotel with poor cleanliness, no internet, and rude staff. Vermin in rooms and behind reception. Not recommended unless you enjoy such conditions. My advice is to avoid this place at all costs. Find somewhere else, enough cheaper and nicer places around the airport!
