Mövenpick Hotel And Convention Centre Klia

We decided to rest up near the KLIA before commencing our Malaysian holiday. An excellent decision we think, having selected one of the rooms on the Executive floor. The experience from the getgo was just terrific, with staff most helpful and helping us through the check in process quickly and efficiently. The restaurant’s breakfast menu was extensive and most enjoyable, with the evening meal in the lounge just enough. The room was clean, modern and neat. Took a moment to get used to a sliding door for the toilet and shower. Ok, but a bit odd. Overall an excellent stay, with a special shout out to the check in staff who helped us. An added bonus was a very extensive outlet prescient nearby. Great way to start the holiday.

The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the airport. If you just arrived in KL and cannot face the commute to the city, or you are leaving KL and do not dare be late to the airport, then this hotel may be for you. It is a 10 mins ride to the airport. Location-wise, there is not much in terms of attractions around it. The building is interesting but I felt it was a bit cavernous. At the time of my visit, it felt deserted as well. The rooms are clean. The beds are good. The shower is OK. The TV channels are very limited and there does not seem to be options for streaming or casting. It is very quiet though. The staff are friendly enough. I had the buffet dinner. Average in quality and taste. I had the breakfast buffet which was also very average. In case you were wondering, no, there was no Movenpick ice cream at dinner.

Upon early arrival, was able to utilize the business room, thus does not feel unwelcome. The rooms were nicely spaced out The front desk staff that attended to us were very polite. It would be great if they have sheltered parking. Not much amenities around the vicinity.
