The best hotel experience! Very central and also affordable! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Mövenpick Wellington was the most beautiful and relaxing hotel experience. The room was incredible, staff went above and beyond, house keeping was top tier, chocolate hour was awesome, the sauna, pool and gym facilities were amazing too

Wellington overnight or long stay gem.

What a gem in Wellington. Located slightly outside of the business centre of Wellington, but closer to the famous Cuba street, a mere 7 minute walk from their VIP(secret) elevator. From check in we were welcomed with smiles, chocolate hour (a complimentary chocolate buffet daily), cocktails in Forage Bar and Restaurant, swimming in the indoor heated pool, relaxing in the steaming hot sauna and a delicious dinner at their Forage Bar and Restaurant. Tasty buffet breakfast with a view to match. Great for couples, business trips or family holidays. Parking available. We will definitely visit this Hotel again.

Comfortable stay

Reception staff were super lovely. The lobby is very classy. Rooms adequate. I felt the bathroom could do with a bit of a "spring clean" around the tile area where there was a bit of scum building up. All in all the rooms were comfortable - especially the bed. Really nice. The chocolate hour was quite underwhelming. The only dipping fruit for the fondue were a few bananas in a bowl. The hand made chocolates however were nice. Happy hour was reasonably priced. We had dinner in the restaurant. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his beef cheeks. I thought my pork belly was quite small and lacked flavour. I reckon the dish needed something like apple sauce/puree or chutney or something similar. It was just ok. Desert (deconstructed carrot cake) was very average - the only deconstructed thing appeared to be that the icing was served on the side not on top LOL Breakfast buffet was good. Not overly large but adequate and had everything we needed. Overall - I would return to stay but probably would give the restaurant a miss for dinner. The rooms were comfortable and we loved the black out curtains.

Late night packing

I was excited to stay at the Mövenpick hotel. However, I was expecting a better level of hospitality from what was delivered. I was pleased to be told I could check in early. Rather than finding me and telling me the room was ready I was left to wait for an hour before asking at the desk. I was put in a room with an adjourning door do thin that I could hear the people next door to me cough. I went to the desk at 1030pm at night and asked to move rooms after guest next door came back and had a room party. This occurred eventually after a long wait. The front desk seemed indifferent to the fact I had to change out of my pjs and pack at this time of night and without ceremony I was moved to a room without a door down a level. This solved the problem. I went to chocolate hour about 20 mins in and found it unattended and decimated. Housekeeping was amazing and the room was spotless but that was the only positive. All in all, it did not live up to expectations.

Holidays to New - Zealand

A bit out of the centre ,up the hill but worth it. The staff was friendly and professional, the environment was wonderful and the room was spacious. We had buffet style for breakfast but we also can choose it on the menu. The choice of our dinner was delicious and the service was impeccable. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable.
