Phra That Doi Suthep Temple

This temple is often referred to as "Doi Suthep", although this is actually the name of the mountain where it is located. It is a sacred site for many Thai people, located about 20 km from Mövenpick Suriwongse Hotel Chiang Mai. Hike up the mountain, rent a motorbike, or hop into a songthaew (Red Taxi Car) to get there. Breath-taking views over Chiang Mai await those who make the journey.

Lanna Folklife Museum

The Lanna Folklife Museum, which is the brainchild of a Chiang Mai Municipality Mayor, is a good start for those heading to Chiang Mai. After walking through the exhibition rooms in this compact museum, you are bound to see the "The most splendid city of culture" in a different light. The Lanna Folklife Museum features 18 exhibition rooms related to religion, culture, ways of life and costumes; one of the best places to visit in the city.
