Excellent city centre hotel in Hanoi. Well located to walk to all the main areas and places of interest. Stayed in a Superior Room which was spacious, comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, complimented bottled water replenished on request. Great breakfast, lots of choice from Vietnamese to European and American. Would highly recommend.
Excellent city centre hotel in Hanoi located on the edge of the French Quarter. Stayed there for 3 nights. The location was perfect to walk to all the main sights, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Old Quarter, Long Bien Bridge, Hoan Kiem Lake etc…. The Classic King was a nice room size, comfortable bed, plenty of space for storage, the desk and armchair were nice to haves. I read some reviews before arriving warning of road noise at night in Hanoi we didn’t experience this but we were on the 7th floor. Service was excellent throughout our stay. We were provided complimentary bottled water top up bottles were provided whenever we asked and milk for our in room coffee. The breakfast was superb with a wide variety of choices from around the world. American, Vietnamese, Indian, European continental, fruit, plus cook to order for eggs, omlettes and Vietnamese breakfast soups. Would highly recommend for those wanting a great hotel convenient for getting around to places easily in Hanoi.
Would be 5 stars but only 4 star due to poor cooling/heating. No matter how you set the thermostat the room stayed stubbornly at 22C. This was a common problem in all the rooms occupied by our group. It was an issue acknowledged by the front desk and the rectifying action was the provision of a fan. The inability to manage room temperature is not good enough for a 5 stars hotel. On the upside, the rooms were spacious with a sumptuous mattress and bedding. The bathroom was well appointed. Service was very professional and the chocolate hour was cute. The pool area was a nice place to be but the gym was quite small. The hotel is in the embassy area of the Old Quarter with the main shopping and restaurant area a 10 minute walk away. I probably wouldn’t stay there again.
Our stay at the Movenpick in Hanoi was very comfortable. Room was large and well appointed. The staff were attentive and helpful and everything was kept very clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent with very good selection of European and Asian foods. The hotel is a short wank from the old quarter and there are many choices to eat and drink very close by. Overall, a very good stay.
I initially chose Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre for its convenient location near my Hanoi office, but my stay exceeded all expectations. With my Platinum Accor Plus membership, I was upgraded to a Premier King room on a high floor with executive lounge access. The room was spacious and modern, with elegant marble finishes in the bathroom. However, the dated wooden wardrobe and the unusual placement of two side mirrors around the sink slightly detracted from the otherwise refined design—likely remnants from the hotel’s recent refurbishment. The highlight of my stay was the executive lounge. The evening canapés and cocktails were exceptional, offering a far superior experience compared to the buffet breakfast at the Mangosteen restaurant. Additionally, the Cabana Club Pool looked inviting for warmer days, while the relaxed ambiance at the Cabana Club and the expertly crafted cocktails at Lounge 83 were delightful indulgences. After such a memorable stay, I would gladly return to Mövenpick Hanoi.
