First choice for Jumeirah
If you have to stay around Jumeirah, just stay at the Movenpick JLT. This is a great hotel. It's not the most luxurious and you won't be next to the beach, but it has everything else including the most friendly , flexible staff around, and that's even in comparison to the service culture that has grown up around Dubai's five star hotels. FIrst the room is quite nice. there are universal plugs, USB outlets, and a comfortable desk. The only thing is that the room is quite dark despite having big windows. But at night it gets dim like a haunted house. So i asked for another lamp and the obliged. The bath toiletries are very nice too , a local brand, but nice scent and feel. The gym is excellent, it's good enough for a full workout. Some of the equipment is dated, but they have balanced well between stacked weights, functional machines, and cardio . Whereas most hotels will have too many cardio and not enough weights. It's open 24 hours which is great. . There is a pool which is narrow but probably good enough for swimming laps. The staff is super friendly. they will do whatever they can to accomodate. The JLT area is nice for evening walks (when the heat goes down). There is every convenience there: restaurants, laundry, salons, and supermarkets. They also have a lot of pet stores for the residents for some reason. The hotel is just off the highway, and around eight minute walk to DMCC metro. Convenient. But in rush hour, plan 90 minutes to the airport ! I will return to Movenpick JLT if i have to be in this area again!

Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers in Dubai - Chef Purushu - Outstanding !!
Awesome hotel with exemplary service and included full breakfast! Mr. Purushu, the chef, is outstanding. A must to try the omelette he makes! You won’t regret.
