Reviews
I often travel to The Hague for business. Having tried most hotels in the city center, I found the Mōvenpick best suited for business travellers. Friendly staff, nicely decorated rooms, good food (albeit limited choice), quiet area right in the center opposite to the Kings palace. And I love the icecream stand at the reception. Two comments (1) extend the menu of the restaurant (2) improve on administration i.e. speed up check in/out. Keep the rest the same.
Dear GM, when walking in as a non resident to have a glass of wine. I encountered a non staffed, totally deserted, bar. After a few minutes a staff member appeared and "poured" (automated) me an Chardonnay. Funnily enough he had to punch the button twice. If this portion controlled automated system was calibrated correctly. One only needs to hit the button once but I am digressing. After having finished my glass I wanted to pay. No staff member was present. After a few minutes I wandered and also FO staff had vanished. A guest was searching for staff. He went to the restaurant and asked the Viking reps if they were reception staff. Meanwhile I was still waiting. No one in the restaurant to be seen either. After 5 minutes waiting for staff to appear. I disappeared. What a s**t show. Sunday afternoon and staff is having a looooong break. A 4 star hotel always needs to have staff present. Are you taking notice GM?
Possibly one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. We went away as a family & respective partners for my father’s Birthday, as the Hague is a very special place for us. The location of the hotel was perfect, truly in the best part of the city! The rooms were very spacious, and felt luxurious which is just what we needed after walking around the city all day. The breakfast selection had something for everyone, with the most delicious smoothie shots. What really made the stay, were the wonderful staff. We arrived on international women’s day and the ladies of our group were given a beautiful red rose! Equally, we had let the hotel know of the birthday celebration and they decorated the room for us & provided us with complimentary prosecco. Out of all of the hotels in the Hage this is definitely our number one!
The hotel's location is ideal – situated in a peaceful area yet within walking distance of shopping streets. It's easily accessible by foot. The staff, especially "Pilvi and Aymen", are exceptionally friendly, hospitable, and professional. The room comfortably accommodated two adults, and I was able to work from it with ease. The room, bathroom, and hotel spaces are clean. The bed is comfortable. The restaurant offers delicious and high-quality dishes. While the breakfast spread wasn't that extensive, it was sufficient. Please note that omelets are available for an additional fee (€ 3 - € 5) as they are not included in the breakfast package.
Liked this hotel. It's a bit more quiet than most of the other big chains in the city. Good levels of service and nice breakfast. Accommodation is well appointed. Good location being right in the centre but on a quiet side street so no noise.
