Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc

A Perfect Getaway at Movenpick Resort, Phu Quoc We just came back from an amazing stay at the Movenpick Resort in Phu Quoc, from May 27th to 29th, and it was fantastic. We stayed in a cozy 2-bedroom villa right near the beach. The staff here made our experience truly special. Mai Anh, in particular, was incredible. She went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable, helping us with everything from dining recommendations to daily activities. Her kindness and attentiveness really stood out. Bryan and Soda were also great, making sure every part of our stay was enjoyable. The food was another highlight. Breakfasts were delightful with plenty of options to choose from. As Accor Platinum members, we dined in style, enjoying some fantastic meals at the resort's restaurants. Our villa was beautiful, the beach was a dream, and the service was outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. Huge thanks to Mai Anh and the team for making our trip so memorable. We'll definitely be back! If you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway in Phu Quoc, Movenpick Resort is the perfect spot.

Gorgeous resort. Well appointed rooms. Exceptional breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed a couples massage. Trang and Vi were our massage therapists who were exceptional. The experience was calming and serene. The spa also features separate men’s and women’s locker rooms and relaxation areas. The pool and sea front beach were lovely. Service was attentive across the board. Only note - while it would not have impacted our decision to stay regardless - during July of 2024 the main beachfront pool was closed for maintenance. Not sure when it will be back online but may be worthwhile to check.

A wonderful 4 night stay at the resort. Whilst the main pool was not open due to maintenance the residences pool was equally as good. Our room was on the seventh floor with marvelous views across the resort and beach. Excellent service, room quality of highest standard, comfort and cleanliness. Stand out service was from Jazzy who assisted with all things drivers and tours. He is persistent but it paid off as he matched us up with our driver Dai who was also excellent and English speaking (mostly). Keep up the good job young man !!!

결론은 가성비가 진짜 좋은 모벤픽! 제 기준에 공짜로 머물다 가는 느낌이에요! 깔끔 해요 조식도 괜찮았고 수영장에서 버블파티 한것도 재밌었고 초코릿아워도 좋았어요 I recently stayed at the Mövenpick Resort in Phu Quoc and found it to be an excellent value for money. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel had great facilities and a nice scale, making it a pleasant place to stay. However, the staff were not particularly friendly. The main pool is currently out of service, so we had to take a buggy to the residences pool each time, which was quite inconvenient. Despite this, the value for money was excellent, and I would consider staying here again on my next visit.

The hotel is beautiful, good location and breakfast has a wide spread and tasty. I truly enjoyed the spa as well. However, that is all. The service quality by some of the staff were so horrendous that I am going to boycott the entire Movenpick chain moving forward despite being my favorite hotels in Middle East and Bangkok. To be fair, there are good staff but the two encounters were so critical. For me, nothing is more important than service and comfort for a five stars hotel. 1) When I asked for an umbrella (raining non-stop) as my room one was spoiled (first it shouldn’t be spoiled in the first place and I was using a faulty umbrella the day before). The counter staff told me that there is none in the storeroom. Then it took them 30 minutes to get me another faulty one. My tour driver had been waiting throughout. Luckily it was a private tour, if it was a group tour, either they left me or I delayed everyone. The manager said will contact me but didn’t. After I got upset and demanded an umbrella firmly, then they took one out from the storeroom. So the staff was lying and the hotel also admitted that there was umbrella in the store. 2) The hotel had a shuttle bus to the airport. I registered. It left without me. They blamed on me not arriving 10 minutes earlier as I arrived 5 minutes earlier. First, I was late as I requested someone to help me with luggage but the person didn’t come. Therefore, I needed to drag 3 luggage down myself (the hotel only responded at 8am that they were sending someone). Second, I was there 7.55am and I saw the bus leaving. I will assume that the hotel required the Japanese or Swiss to teach them the importance of leaving exactly on time. Not 5 minutes before or after. Lastly, no attempt by the hotel to reach me by the phone or app. So a 5 star hotel just decided to leave guests who are catching flights (time sensitive) instead of checking if they are coming down and waiting for 5-10 minutes even if assumed that I was late (which I wasn’t). All in all, truly disappointed by Movenpick. First time disappointed with a hotel in Vietnam after staying with Hyatt and Marriott. Accors Group need to buck up if they want to stay in the competition.
