All the food was excellent and the service out of this world. Highly recommend, if you want to enjoy a good meal and warm service this is the place. We took the romantic dinner and everything worked smoothly and I strongly recommend it. If you are planning a vacation this is the place!
Had to write another review as I felt coerced to write a 5 star review earlier. My family and I booked a 3 bedroom beachside villa with the intent that our toddler sleeps in his own room. On check-in we realised that the 3 bedroom villa we had received had a layout where two of the bedrooms were actually located outside of the main villa - meaning you had to walk outside to enter them. Obviously this was not ideal, and when we asked for another room configuration we were told that this was the only option we had. To try and ensure our toddler had space, we asked if one of the single mattresses from one of our outdoor bedrooms could be moved into the main bedroom for us. They said no and that the mattresses could not be moved as they were secured to the bed. We were then given an option to rent a spare bed for $50 a night. Not ideal given we had already spent $750 a night on our three bedroom villa. We ended up moving the mattress ourselves (it was not secured) and then called again the next day to see if there were other villa options. Once we asked to speak to a manager - magically a three bedroom beachview villa with an in villa configuration appeared, but only after much calling and them telling us they were booked out for the week. So we went from no such room exists, to it being booked out, to having it available. They only allowed us to check into that room after 6pm. This was a terrible experience, but the new room ended up being much better. I had read reviews that some villas had hosts, but we had no such luck and our phones kept hanging up in the villa so it was difficult to get much service, unless it was through messaging on the app. With our villa we also got offered a happy hour each day, however it seems like the locations would change and so we only ended up going to one on level 8. This was great, but when we tried to go again they directed us to the Aura lounge who said there was no special members happy hour. Communication between staff here also needs to improve. This resort also has very few restaurant and activity options if you are looking for something with a variety, I would suggest elsewhere or eat outside. One shining light though is the staff on the level 8 breakfast. They were lovely and the friendliest staff of the lot. Lastly, I feel compelled to write this review, as I was forced to write a positive one in order to accomodate a late check out for my family. The receptionist edited it, and also asked to check that I published my review before she would offer it to me. This seems deceitful and dishonest. Overall, while the room was beautiful and the beach was clean, this resort was lacking and staff communication and treatment of the customer should definitely be improved.
An amazing stay at this hotel and I want to extend my sincere thanks to the incredible staff who made my experience so special. A big shoutout to Ky, who went above and beyond with their helpful assistance throughout my stay. Your professionalism and warm attitude were much appreciated! Also, I would like to thank Louis, Nhu, Hoang, and Sparrow at the Aura restaurant for their outstanding service. The food was absolutely delicious. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly made dining here a pleasure.
My family and I had a 12 night stay at the Mövenpick in Phu Quoc, and we can highly recommend the place. We were accomodated at one of the villas and were really happy with the private pool, the kitchen with its equipment, and cleaning services provided. Free drinking water (20 liter jars) was available at all times. Upsides: The resort is super well maintained, and we didn't have to worry about anything. The hotel app made communication and requesting services extremely easy, which were provided quickly every time. The beach and the pool area is amazing as well. There is always enough space and you do not have to worry about getting a sun bed. Also, the hotel has some activities, including a fun foam party on Saturdays. Despite the massages being pricy compared to prices in town or just outside of the hotel, it's really worth it. Had one of the best treatments of my life there. The breakfast is just amazing and there is 3 more restaurants you can choose from, although one of them only provides "all you can eat" for dinner. Downsides: While the breakfast is really amazing, there is not that much choice for food. For a long term stay, you will quickly get tired of the limited choice. Unfortunately, the hotel makes it a bit difficult leaving the grounds, since you cannot simply call a shuttle to the gate, but have to wait for it to leave according to schedule. There is an amazing small market, little restaurant and massage place outside, which is highly recommended to visit. You should consider renting a scooter from outside, which they can bring to the hotel free of charge. Room Service is pretty expensive, and to be able to choose from a wider food pallet, we started using GRAB towards the end of our stay. Another downside is that not all hotel activities were taking place, for example Aqua Gym - although we signed up through the app and were at the pool at the right time, it never actually happened. All in all, it was nevertheless an excellent stay. The hotel is underrated. Great experience, very professional staff. Special thanks to Hana Tho, she is new at the hotel but super professional. Will definitely recommend the hotel. Good value for the room with pool access, thrice as cheap as compared to villas, same comfort.
