Mövenpick Resort Phan Thiet

I went with my family (brother and mother) and a close friend to Vietnam for a 3 weeks holiday in Mövenpick Resort Phan Thiet between 19 October to 9 November. Wow! The best vacation - ever! The staff and the management was so great - so good - so fantastic. Me and my close friend are platinum members in Accor, which the hotel is part of. We was upgraded to 2 Admiral Club Suites and the hotel also upgraded my family to nice rooms and gave them access to my benefits as a valued member of the the loyalty program, an even beyond that, which they didn’t need to. So kind of them. The hotel also arranged a Vietnamese Cooking Class in the hotel for me and my friend with a price awarded Executive Chef. I think his name is Long. A fantastic and gentle chef. Great time and lots of photos was taken. The food was tastings great - even after I made it… hahaha… All staff in the hotel was so amazing and the name I can recollect are - all of them are so fantastic - Hai (guest relation officer), Huyen (guest relation officer), Kelvin (restaurant supervisor) Lap (ouch.. I don’t remember his title but his was so fantastic and caring). I also wants to thank Ms Jo (guest experience manager) and Michael - the Austrian general manager of the magnificent hotel. Thanks especially to Ms Jo who was so, so great, and a warm person who helped us with tours we wanted to go to, and really made our experience so wonderful. Well it’s some or the names I remember after 21 nights on the hotel. I also want go give thumps up and thank all of the crew of this 5-star resort. They was so nice, helpful and smiling all the time. I saw the personnel take care of the guests with kindness and professionalism. Great leadership and dedication for guest satisfaction and experience. The infinity pool are so great and we really loved it. The pool where the pirate ship is placed are for families with small children so we enjoyed the infinity pool instead during our stay. The food in the Bounty restaurant is so great and tasty and the waiters is open to mix or change some of the ingredients in the menu on request, if possible. The breakfast had good options and we was so satisfied. The Oasis spa is also fantastic with massage treatments. What I could wish is that the cocktail hour in the Lounge is for two hours instead of one hour. Most hotel lounges in the Accor umbrella offer two hours ;) One thing is for sure! We wanna go back to the resort again.

Nice hotel, nice beach, not much around. Hotel is ok. Decent 4 star. Ok bf. Quite ok beach for southern VN but nothing compared to TH. Hotel has some kids theme park which might be ok for very young kids. What stands out it’s really far away from Anything! Ghost village if villas built around. It’s very much of the west side of Phan Thiet, far away from any western styled restaurants

Mövenpick Phan Thiet is My family's favorite destination Less than 2 hours drive from Saigon, Mövenpick Phan Thiet is always an ideal choice for short breaks. So what we love about this place is the friendly staff, especially thanks to Ms Huyen for her enthusiastic support. Movenpick also has rich and delicious breakfast buffet; clean and comfortable rooms. Thanks to Accor Plus memberships brings many special offers to our family. A perfect vacation for the whole family to bond. And for sure, we will come back to Mövenpick Phan Thiet many more times!

We stayed at the Movenpick Phan Thiet for just over two weeks during the end of August and the beginning of September. We chose this hotel because we'd previously tried out the Movenpick Phu Quoc and really liked it. Overall, while a few things could be improved, we had a great time. I have Accor Platinum status and overall this was well recognised. While we didn't receive a room upgrade (which is fair enough considering this was a longer stay), we did receive a very good welcome amenity (a bottle of wine) and access the Admiral executive lounge. Benefits also included 2 pieces of laundry per person per day which was appreciated. Overall the lounge was excellent. This was open for most of the day with soft drinks, fruits and excellent coffee available throughout. We much preferred having breakfast in the lounge area compared to the main restaurant. There is also an afternoon tea (although it is more a selection of sweet things) plus a cocktail hour each evening. The cocktail hour was really nice. A small selection of snacks was also available. The room was very good but the aircon system should be improved. The air conditioning system appears to be centrally controlled and it was impossible to get the room down to the temperature we prefer. A hotel of this level should have a much better system and shouldn't be preventing guests from being able to properly adjust the temperature of their room. The gym could also be improved for the same reason. While the gym space is large, the aircon is far too weak for the space, in addition, there was often a slight sewage-like smell which wasn't very pleasant. The pool is great - if you're travelling as a couple, I recommend visiting off season - we really enjoyed using this space during the last week of our stay because the peak season had finished and it was much more calm and relaxed. We ate in the restaurant most evenings and overall it was good. Maybe a smaller menu but with a little more creativity or one-off dishes could be nice but it's a small thing. The hotel has two restaurants and funnily enough, we actually thought the Black Pearl restaurant was much nicer even though it was only open during peak periods. This is because It has a really relaxed outdoor seating space and we felt it had a nicer ambience. So I recommend visiting if it's open during your stay. Despite a few problems, as mentioned above, the highlight of our stay was actually the team members we met. Huyen deserves a special mention. Prior to arrival, she created a great impression by helping us book our transfer to the hotel from Ho Chi Minh airport (easy, very comfortable, good value for the distance). This excellent impression continued throughout the stay and Huyen is naturally very well suited to a career in hospitality. I appreciated the fact she took the time to get to know us, helped us with recommendations of places to go in Phan Thiet, and genuinely seemed passionate about making our stay as excellent as possible. It is the little details that make a stay enjoyable and genuinely memorable. While all of our interactions with team members were great (and at a very high level of consistency), I would also highlight Hu'ng, who typically worked during the lounge cocktail hour - he always provided excellent service and was very friendly. Quynh, who was often also working in the lounge and was always very kind and Kevin who mostly worked in the restaurant and was always very nice to interact with. There aren't loads of things to do nearby, however, if you're looking for somewhere to chill and spend relaxed days, I'd recommend!

Nice atmosphere and room decor. Fast checkin. Good and peaceful breakfast at their Executive lounge. Staff is very helpful, especially Ms. Huyen. Will come back.
