I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It is rated as a 5* hotel which is my biggest problem. In my opinion it only delivers a 4.5 star experience at best. This is based on my experience in many 5* hotel chains such as Sofitel, Hilton, The Westin, Conrad, Four Seasons, Anatara, Jumeriera, Shangri la, Marriott to name a few. This hotel just doesn’t deliver on the luxury and service and attention to detail you expect from a 5* hotel. I always review Tripadvisor before booking and am not sure how this hotel has such high rating is. All I can conclude is the reviews are from people not accustomed to the true 5* experience. I’ll give some examples. For starters the resort decor is fine, the kids pools are great and the room was very nice. No issues here. The breakfast service, staff are lovely but there isn’t enough of them - they are run off their feet. We routinely queue 15minutes to get a table. Coffee is ordered but often doesn’t arrive and needs multiple requests. It’s not a relaxed experience with queues at the egg station as well. There is only 1 restaurant which makes food choices limited if staying more than a few nights. There are restaurants next door but be aware they are not under the Accor group so any Accor plus membership discounts will not apply here. A previous guest likened the breakfast like feeding time at the zoo which I agree with having stayed here. Communication isn’t great. On checkin we were told we could book the Christmas brunch and there was no urgency to book, however calling the restaurant 1 hour later they told us they were fully booked and couldn’t accommodate us. It worked out well in the end as we went to Sofitel Nusa Dua for Christmas dinner which was an experience on a completely different level. The food options and service from Sofitel was what I’d expect from a 5* hotel. This confirmed my desire to cut my stay short at this hotel from 7 nights to 3 nights. I will be moving into The Westin for the remainder of my holiday in Bali to get that luxury hotel experience. It’s certain to say I won’t be coming back here. My daughter did enjoy it here so that’s at least a positive and I don’t regret a short stay here for the kids pool area. I am a little annoyed that at the start of the stay I asked to reduce my stay (having a 3 day notice flexible booking) but I am still being charged a 1 night cancellation charge. This just adds to the experience falling short of what I was expecting. In summary great for kids and great if you get a good deal. Don’t expect to feel the 5* luxury experience.

Facilites and services are incredible. Jimbaran Seafood BBQ is most recommended buffet when staying. Cacthing sunset in Muaya Beach also is easily accesible by walking 5 minutes distance. Next to the hotel is Samasta Life Style Village where we as a guest are able to try a variety of Indonesian Foods. Will be my hotel choices of staying in Jimbaran with a very certain.

Thsi si my first ever review for tripadvisor, and unfortunately it is not positive. I am not one to write lengthy reviews but my experience of my first day here warrants the time to write one. It is my first day here and it has been a big dissapointment, and sad enough for me to take the time on xmas eve to wrote this. Movenpick is entry level 5 star, more like a 4 star. We have been so dissapinted with the hotel for multiple reasons, if you are used to luxury 5 star properties, even if you are looking for something to suite the kids, i woild not recommend this hotel. Slow and clumsy service, basic bathroom amenties, poor interent signal around the property including bedroom, tired kids club, poorly maintained pool area and it is essentially catered for mass-market. We had lunch on arrival whilst waiting for room and i had fries dropped all over me. The waiter was apologetic but waited atleast 15 minutes for a replacement when my daughter has almost finsihed her meal. Our Accor plus membership discount was blacked out on xmas eve and xmas day (no mention of this when we rang prior to arrival). Poor communication meant we also could not get a reservation for xmas day brunch. On check in we were told about this and we told her we were interested in booking atleast ine meal, and the staff told us itd be fine to call back and book. A couple of hours later we did this and they said it was fully booked and no space. This has ruined our xmas experence now, as we were looking forward to taking ur 3 year ild and 8 month old daughters to this as he main cmas experience. We have tried to speak with bookings team but the communication is poor and they themselves unsure if they are fully booked or not. Our deluxe bedroom was pleasant, and probably of the positives so far. However on arrival had no cot (nil availability) and we eere told its not guaranteed, however we had a note on our booking as our baby is only 8 months. We have a 3 year old daughter too so not really ideal. The bathroom amenities are basic- not really luxury. Nothing luxurious about it, the towels are ragged. The tiles are cracked and the tiles have been regrouted poorly. The shower works well, but overall the bathroom refelcts a four star property. We went swimming after check in and the pool area looks old and not enohgh mainteneace with leaves floating around. Something a 5 star property should be able to upkeep. Another thing to note is this hotel only has one resteraunt for breakfast lunch aand dinner. The cafe in the lobby is onyl for drinks and snacks, and does the chocloate fondant afternoon session every day which we liked, but no dinner food. . Over all we are very dissapointed, and wish we had booked another hotel which would truley live upto the 5 star luxury experience. This property boasts its catering for children, which i suppose it does but in my opinion is not 5 star like it claims. The service is terrible, its impossible to even speak to anyone on the pjone about this properly. When we expeessed some of our concerns and wished to reduce the length if stay on our booking we were told the managers on holiday. I am so surprised at this for an accor property in bali.

Yoga is a really good instructor who taught me a introduction yoga session in Movenpick resort. He is nice and friendly. I've been doing pilates for some years and yoga was my first time. The session was not too hard also not too easy. He seemed considering my body condition and asked medical history so it was perfect for me.

Excellent all round - a highlight was the staff and their caring nature, and attention to detail. One of the hosts, Heny, took special care and was available on WhatsApp for questions and arrangements. When hotel transport was not available for local travel, she introduced us to Komang, a local driver who took care of our tour and travel needs at a very reasonable cost, in a comfortable air conditioned car.
